During the coronavirus pandemic summer of 2021 I had the opportunity to try ladybird for the second Time and while the service was slow for the most part they got our order correct but you can tell that they didn’t have enough stuff to maintain the washrooms or the floor of the restaurant.
Recently on a sunny cold Sunday afternoon my partner and I decided to walk up the beltline and enjoy an outdoor libation at the ladybird restaurant’s patio.
Upon arrival we walked toward the entrance and the signage that you see in my review was placed prominently to educate participants in their dining and drinking experience. It is a shame, that this sign does not apply to the employees or any of the staff.
We walked to a mobile or drink dispensary unit at the back of the ladybird restaurant patio. When you get to that location to order it was a long list of cocktails, as well as, or a fully stocked bar and beers representing not only local Atlanta breweries but from all over the country. Much to my surprise when trying to order a cocktail, I was told that they did not have any of the cocktail mixtures from those on the list and then I would have to walk inside to order. In other words even though they could’ve flagged down a waiter so that my order could be placed at the same place that my partners beer was placed they refused to go that extra step. Thus, I ordered a bloody Mary and was told that they didn’t have the ingredients – as I was literally staring at the ingredients of a Bloody Mary!
I did flag down the manager at some point and shared my concerns but he seemed nonplussed. I also conveyed that their ladies washroom needed a bit of care but he seemed disagreeable with this information.
So my sense is the employees follow suit to the management. If there is poor leader ship within the dining experience and no processes or procedures in place for general good customer service, they will not be followed by subordinates.
That said, while there are plenty of places to dine on the beltline in Atlanta Georgia please do not go to ladybird restaurant it would be a waste of your time, a frustrating experience, and surely a waste of good money. With all of the wonderful options that the Atlanta beltline has in to offer, I would omit this dining experience from your journey!
I sincerely wish you could award 1/4 a star as that is even too good a review for this...

Ambiance - 3/5: Not the best ambiance. I think they wanted to go for a funky hip restaurant vibe that I didn't like. It does not look like a very trendy place. This could also be because we were there right when the restaurant opened for the day and they were still prepping some things. Since it was also raining, I could have added to the overall aesthetic but I was not a fan. They also have benches to sit on like in an old-fashioned eatery which some people might like but wasn't something I was a fan of.
Service 3/5: The service was quick and I think they made it fresh since they had just opened. FYI, It is a self-serve so you will have to go to the counter to get your food and they will not come there to give it to you. They take your name and number so you might even get a text in case you are sitting far. Also, no one serves you water. There is a can and you have to go there and get water. The cups are really small so get ready to have frequent trips in case you are thirsty or have ordered something spicy.
Food: 2/5: A few things to note. They have a brunch menu but can also serve you sandwiches if requested. Before I review the food, here are a few things you should know a) There burgers are costly and do NOT come with fries. b) They did not have coffee as their machine was broken. c) Their fries cost you $5 in addition to the chicken sandwich if you want them Now coming to the taste:
Value for money 2/5: As noted above, everything felt overpriced for the food and the taste you were paying for.
Overall I think this place was overpriced and I do not see the value here. There are better restaurants which will give you better value and IMO, we can avoid this place. Also to add, the location is congested with very few parking and you will have to shell out extra money...
