I ordered sushi on Uber Eats but it came directly from Umai with no delay, so I don’t think it’s Uber Eats’ fault that I started having symptoms of food poisoning within a hour of finishing my sushi. I went to check out other reviews and see there are several that mention bad sushi ingredients that needed to be thrown out or made unsuspecting folks like myself sick. I wanted to call or email the restaurant directly about this so they could avoid serving the ingredients again but they’re closed til 5 and have no email address posted so I’m just going to share here. The only other food I had all day was canned soup for lunch…I realize that I can’t prove the sickness came from Umai, but just be cautious. The combination of other reviews, my lack of other food that day, timing, questionable past health scores (the bad November 2024 on was remediated as of December 2025, but that’s a while ago - maybe they fell back into their old ways?) make it pretty obvious to me. We sushi fans are aware of the risk of eating raw fish…it’s on the restaurant to ensure the ingredients are fresh and safe as possible. No sushi place should have this many complaints about sushi quality if you read their reviews. I should have done so before ordering and I...

I wish I had something nice to say here, but unfortunately I don't. This was probably the worst dining experience I've had in the past year or two.

Service: no one came to our table to give us menus, so we had to walk up to the bar to order ourselves. It was like no one was assigned to our table, and none of the servers took initiative to address it. Servers walked past us repeatedly without a single person saying "have you been helped yet?" Honestly, it was the worst service I've experienced in a long time, maybe ever.

Food: we ordered two rolls of sushi. The Godzilla Roll was okay...passable. The Falcon Roll, on the other hand, was just plain bad (see photo). The Falcon Roll was $15, one of the most expensive rolls on the menu, and there was hardly any fish inside. When I'm eating sushi, I shouldn't have bites that are only rice. Honestly, this was the most disappointed I've ever been in a roll of sushi.

When I came to Zuma/Umai or whatever it's called, I was in the mood for sushi and just wanted an average experience. To my surprise, I got bad sushi and bad service. I don't leave 1-star reviews unless I feel the restaurant truly deserved it, and in this case, Zuma/Umai wholeheartedly deserved...

Oh my heaven sent. After living in Atlanta for almost four years, I’ve struggled endlessly to find a Japanese spot that has the undeniably amazing ‘Spicy Tako roll’

Coming from Chicago, they are everywhere. If they aren’t on the menu, any spot will make it for you. Spoiled I was.

I have visited numerous Japanese restaurants throughout Atlanta and not one had it on their menu, nor were they willing to make it (quite simple).

Until yesterday, I honestly had given up hope. Then as I’m browsing UberEats, Umai pops up. THEY HAVE IT. Immediately I ordered, with a request of a small addition to the roll - which they added for me.

Delivered so quickly. Could feel the warmth of the miso soup & side of rice. But the determining factor - the octopus roll.

Amazing, delicious. Everything I could have asked for and more. Even now (next day) I’m reminiscing of every bite into each maki roll. The miso was fire as well, and a side of rice with eel sauce, you can never go wrong.

Thank you Umai. As I noted in the UberEats notes, you have a customer for life. Keep doing what you’re doing, I’ll be...

Ordered on Uber eats and was so disappointed with the price point and portion I spent over 70 dollars for 2 ramens bowls with half an egg and barely any toppings, the smallest sushi for nearly 19 dollars 4 spring rolls and 2 cookies and cream macarons which I’m not even sure are the right flavor being they were blueberry blue. I Mr was my first experience. I was expecting… better and more. Considering other places I have been to. Unfortunately I will not be ordering again at least not through a delivery service atleast the flavor wasn’t terrible but definitely overpriced for ramen.

Good amount of choices and the food is decent. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if in the area I will definitely go. Every time we go it seems like they only have one waitress, but she does a great job. Be prepared to sit down and chill because it's not a place for a quick bite, but they seem to have something for everyone. Sushi, poke bowls, donburi, sushi burrito, ramen, hibachi style food, bento meals, with all sorts of appetizers such as spring rolls, takoyaki, and edamame.
