Great service, though there can be some long wait times. I walked up on a Thursday afternoon out of curiosity and requested outdoor seating. They noted a 35-minute wait, but it was closer to 20. I’m glad I waited to sit outside—it’s just beyond the wraparound bar, covered but still gets a nice airflow from the Beltline nearby. I was able to fine-tune my drink, a passion fruit aperol spritz movktail( I forget the name). I have confidence they’d do a solid cocktail here. I asked for recommendations and ended up ordering the Manzo as an appetizer and the lasagna as my main. The wait time was a little longer than I would’ve liked—my drink came out first, followed by both the appetizer and main at the same time. The Manzo was cooked perfectly. I’d give it an 8/10. It’s a steak and pepper skewer. The steak was tender and cooked medium—great on its own. It had flakes of sea salt, but was already well-seasoned, and the sweetness from the peppers added a nice touch. With the chimichurri, it hit the perfect balance. The lasagna is a 50/50 for me. It’s okay —I liked the crispy edges—but was a bit put off by the amount of grease. When I cut into it, grease (I assume from the cheese and types of meat) pooled out. I also personally prefer lasagna with more sauce. Flavor-wise, it’s solid, but it didn’t quite strike the right balance for me. The vibe of the place is great. They have an excellent music selection at just the right volume—you can still hold a conversation without feeling like you’re screaming. With the Beltline in the background, it’s a great spot for a solo date, romantic date, or catch up with friends. The place is lively and the decor is cool. Definitely somewhere I’ll return to during the summer when I want to grab a drink or just kick back. I’d be curious to try brunch here. Currently, there’s no dessert menu, but I was told they should have one set by next month. Overall, taking vibe, drinks, food, and service into account, I’d definitely come back.

This evening, in pursuit of modest merriment, I did find myself patronizing an establishment of curious name and refined pretension, Yeppa. A most modern haunt, yet not without its charms. The weather, being of that agreeable autumnal sort, crisp, but not cruel, did lend itself well to dining. I seated myself beneath a veritable galaxy of what they call market lights, bulbs suspended like stars by the industrious hand of some electric Apollo. Quite enchanting, though I dare say, one must squint lest he mistake his dinner companions for celestial beings. As to the libations: the cocktails, while not of Olympian strength, did provide sufficient warmth to the soul and a pleasant hum to the conversation. They shan’t knock a man off his cravat, but nor would one die of thirst or despair. Now, on the matter of sustenance: I must confess, my culinary foray was modest, I partook only of the Caprese alla Loredana, a dish of continental persuasion involving mozzarella, tomatoes and leaves that appeared to have been plucked from a garden most fashionable. It was, to its credit, quite good. The tomatoes were firm, the cheese obligingly soft, and the balsamic drizzle appeared to have been applied by a particularly artistic nun. Yeppa presents a delightful scene for an evening out-of-doors, with fine company and fair drink. Whether it merits the coin demanded, I leave that to you.

Vibrant, airy space in a great location, but sadly that's about it. Service started out ok, as they seemed to be well staffed with expediters and things, but it quickly went downhill. We ordered bread service, which was $8 for 4 small pieces of bread, but bread was airy and tasty. We told our server, Jessica, that we wanted a second order, but to bring it with dinner so that we could use it to lap up the sauces on our pasta, since bread is on the dryer side. Second order never came and our server also never came back once our food was delivered, until I finally flagged her down about the bread. I asked her twice, as well and flagging down one of the busboys. When bread finally came, we were done with our dinner. Astonishingly, they did not remove it from the bill, so I got up and went to one of the expediters, an African American woman who appeared to be management, and asked her to remove the second order from the bill. She did so but was not kind about it. Let's talk about he pastas, which were the smallest portions I have ever seen, yet run about $27+ per entree, with most containing NO PROTEIN even in them. My tortellini was actually supposed to have sausage and there were exactly 3 tiny pieces of it. Seriously?! So chintzy! I was hungry an hour later. As I mentioned, our server, Jessica, was never to be seen after taking our initial order, so we were never offered second cocktails, dessert, or anything. Meanwhile, a man who appeared to be the manager, equipped with a headset, must have circled the restaurant 20 times while we sat there, and never once came close to making eye contact. I didn't see him engage with anyone, actually. He appeared sort of middle eastern looking with a well maintained beard and short trimmed hair. Terrible management and is obviously not familiar with the phrase "lead by example", which showed in the service level. A grave...

So disappointed with the management team here. We made a reservation for 10 for me and my brothers birthday on a Saturday. Knowing we were going to have a few over, we tried to make another reservation for another 10 top which the restaurant declined. Since this location is on the Beltline we decided to go anyways figuring the rest of the group could just hang at the bar or other tables. When we got there they informed us they knew we had more than 10 (obviously we tried to make another reservation) and made it incredibly awkward for our group letting us know that no one could go back and forth between those that were seated and those that weren't even though our table was conveniently located outside of the bulk of tables and towards the back. Totally understand not wanting us to hover around the table but our group was being very respectful and standing at other tables/getting other drinks from the bar as to not confuse our waiter. Our waiter was so friendly and nice and trying to work with us but management wouldn't let go threatening us with a $3500 minimum for over 10 people. That is ridiculous and should have been communicated when we requested the second reservation. Our group was planning to spend all day here and spend $$$ and instead closed out quickly and walked over to another bar where they gladly accommodated our large group and we spent the next 3-4 hours. I'm sure this place is great if you have a small group but larger groups stay clear. They will make you feel like an inconvenience when you're just trying to support a new business. So disappointed and could have absolutely been prevented if they let us plan ahead and allowed us a second...
