(Date of Service: 04-19-2025 Appt. Time: 10:15am Krog District location.. Service was under my babyâs name..they work by appointments only so they can easily verify service and I will not post my childâs name on this review for security purposes) âŚ.I give the store as a whole 1 star but I give the nurse Alexis who pierced my baby ears a 5 star rating. Hereâs whyâŚ.. There was a young lady who was black that walked in front with her baby and all of the staff (staff was white and it was a total of 4) was behind the counter. Nobody BUT Alexis welcomed me and the customer and her baby that was in front of me(I am also a black woman with a black child) The store was empty as we were the first to come in per our set appointments. The other staff was talking amongst themselves and acted as if we werenât even there. Alexis provided great customer service and was helping the lady and her baby that was in front of me, and I stood at the front counter with my baby looking and they totally ignored me until I made eye contact with one of the ladyâs. I decided that I did not want any of those other ladyâs to pierce my baby because of their horrible attitude and customer service. I also want to add that one of the staff deliberately kept her back towards me and the first customer as she and the other two rude staff members converse as if we werenât even visible. I waited for Alexis to get done with the other woman and child as I liked her customer service, I liked how gentle and caring she was. As I waited my turn to be serviced by Alexis, two customers ( white woman) came in and those same 3 staff that ignored me and the first customers spoke to those two ladies and had all of the customer services skills in the world when servicing them. I mean ironically ALL THREE of them were speaking to those ladies and was doing everything to help them. Now, based on the total observation and how I felt as a whole it felt racist, and unwelcoming all because of the color of me and the first customers skin being BLACK. (Iâm in literal tears while typing this as I think about two black woman (us) walking in with our strollers with our babies being treated in such a nasty and hateful way!!!) I found out about this place on social media and I was thrilled to take my baby there based on the lady who posted their beautiful experience on TikTok. I feel robbed of the full experience because of those three ladies. My experience with Alexis was great. She was really gentle with my baby and that made me happy. We live in a world where there are people that are all colors, shapes and sizes. If you cannot treat everyone with the same respect and service, you should not be working with people and you should re-evaluate yourself and work to become a better...
Read moreI stopped in for my second lobe piercings after walking past Rowan. I'd been thinking about getting second piercings for a bit but didn't know where. Cleanliness and quality of the piercing were my top priorities because I don't want to deal with anything getting infected. I liked that all their jewelry is hypoallergenic and nurses are the ones to do the piercings, so I decided I might as well get it done now.
It was easy to do a walk-in. I just scanned a QR code to select my time slot and fill out the waiver. The woman who did my piercing was very nice and offered me guidance in selecting one of their two piercing methods (device or needle). She said either device or needle is fine for the second lobe piercing. Needle is more expensive and she said that it's more important for a cartilage piercing, so I just went with the device piercing.
You pay for the piercing itself ($50 for two lobes) and then purchase a set of earrings for your piercing. For the second lobe, I could choose between a few of their stud earrings since those are sanitized. I selected the 3mm Bezel Set Crystal Ă 114k Yellow Gold Pair for $60 since it's simple and classic. This seems like a reasonable price for hypoallergenic jewelry.
The piercing itself was very quick -- less than 10 minutes probably. Before piercing she disinfected the area, drew on dots for where the piercings would be, and had me provide feedback on the piercing placement. It's a quick little pinch and you're done.
She advised me on aftercare and provided a little "goodie bag" with a branded pen and makeup pouch and aftercare instructions. You can purchase the saline wash for your piercing from them, or they tell you what to get at the store. They do a complimentary check-in after 21 days with their nurses to make sure everything is healing properly (I haven't done that yet since I just got it today, but I appreciate that it's offered!).
I also saw two babies/toddlers get their piercings done with the nurse who did mine before I went. She was really sweet with the kids and made sure to try to ease them through the piercing process.
Beyond the piercing experience, the store has a really cute variety of dainty earrings. I can't wait to wear huggie-style earrings for my second lobe piercing, and I'll have to come back or check their website to...
Read moreI took my daughter to get her ears pierced today at your Atlanta location. It was very busy and a lot of conversation and confusion going on when I was getting checked out. They asked if I wanted to leave a tip and the amounts were 18%, 20% and 25%. It wasnât until I got home that I saw the tip that was added was not 18% of the service but 18% of the total cost, with the earrings and the cleansing solution.
A $26.64 is a 53% tip on a $50 service for what was a 5 minute session is beyond ridiculous and feels very dishonest. In addition, I used the promo code that they sent ânew friendâ and they only applied it to the cleaning solution - so only $2.00 off when there were no restrictions or notation of items not included. So wouldnât it have been 10% off the entire amount?
I am extremely disappointed and it feels extremely dishonest. I am fine leaving a tip but for the service, when I contacted the company, asking for a correction- I was given $8 as a âone time courtesyâ. Never again. Dishonest.
To respond to the response So you send out a promo code that does NOT include and restrictions and you say it's not good for piercing or piercing jewelry - what else is there to use the discount code on (we were in person, not online)?
Again, I KNOW tipping is not mandatory, but you adding the cost of NON service items to the "tip" is PREDATORY and dishonest. You have not addressed that in ANY communication you have had with me. I hope someone in your company sees just how bad this reads. You can set your tipping to be on services and not good sold but you didn't. That says you are aware of it...
