If I could give zero stars I would! That’s how bad the experience and food was. This store is ran by a bunch of teenagers who seemingly don’t want to work. When I walked in, the short black woman took my order. She was sluggish and no one greeted me including the cashier. I ordered my usual, the turkey jalapeno club but I ordered it WITH NO BACON. Not sure if the cashier was under the influence, but she had me repeat the order twice along with my choice of beverage. After I paid for my meal, I asked her if the baked deserts were good and which was her favorite. She didn’t answer or acknowledge me. She continued to I guess clean the bev stand. I grabbed a cookie and then walked back to the cashier stand once she came back thinking that she was going to FINALLY ring me up for the cookie, but again she just gave me this blank dumb stare. The dark skinned black woman making sandwiches was either distracted because she was on shift taking photographs of her magnificent sandwich work all for the order to be incorrect and cold.. also with several customers waiting for their food. After the long wait, I finally received by sandwich. However, once I examined it while sitting in my car, I saw that they did not remove the bacon as I had requested. When I walked back in, the cashier just looked at me when I said I wanted no bacon. I had to repeat myself and say it loud enough for the terrible lazy manager (black male with locs) to hear. He said nothing then proceeded to walk toward me. The cashier said something rude and disrespectful, even one customer said “wow” and side eyed her. I asked if he could remake the entire sandwich and not just remove the bacon. I waited nearly 15 min. Within those 15 mins, the staff was staring at me (in attempt to intimidate me), laughing at me, etc. when I got my sandwich, of course there were pieces of bacon on my sandwich. I went back in and I began yelling. I was followed with threats by two men (one overweight with breasts wearing glasses) and the other was a medium brown skinned young black man. These threats were threats to shoot and cause Physical harm.

Customer service was good at first until I had to go back and ask for my honey mustard. The young cashier African American girl who was light skin with bad skin and short hair proceeded to argue with me over a honey mustard. Which I asked for on the side but they forgot to give it to me. She actually wanted me to open up my sandwich and see if it was on there already. If it was they would have to charge me .50 cent even though it was a mistake on their end. I told her that I am not paying anything extra for something that is suppose to be free. It already comes on the sandwich. I just asked for it on the side. She went in the back and finally got me one. Sandwich was very dry they had no mayo on my sandwich. I got the club sandwich ! It is a very basic sandwich that is regular price about $10/$11. I got it for 50% off which came to $6.41. It was apart of T-mobile Tuesday’s rewards. But honestly this basic dry sandwich was not worth more than $4. The turkey taste non brand and definitely not Boar’s head ! The Mac and cheese was ok. The sweet tea is horrible and not sweet at all. This is like cafeteria hospital type food but the hospital food would taste better. My high school cafeteria lunch tasted better than this. Do not waste your time and go to a better authentic deli. But honestly I don’t know if Atlanta has any good deli spots. I was disappointed and glad I only paid $6.41. My sweet tea was free for downloading the app and the Mac and cheese came with my meal as a side. The previous reviews were correct. Horrible customer service and nasty food !

I had a horrific experience at McAlister’s Deli that I feel compelled to share. From start to finish, it was uncomfortable, frustrating, and frankly, unacceptable. When I walked in, the worker immediately asked if we had a pickup order. We said no and ordered at the counter. I was never asked for my name, yet when I looked at the receipt, a random Hispanic name was listed. It felt like a blatant assumption based on my appearance — and a clear example of racial profiling. That same worker was the one who took our order. Our food came out wrong and was placed in to-go containers inside a bag, even though we were dining in. One salad was missing the chicken entirely, and the other had brown, spoiled avocado. The attention to detail and quality was completely lacking. As we were cleaning up and getting ready to leave, I asked that same worker where I could throw away our trash. His response? “Take it out to the dumpster.” I was in complete shock. I have never been told to take out my own trash to a dumpster at any restaurant. It felt intentionally dismissive and disrespectful — especially following the earlier experience. This visit left a lasting negative impression. Between the poor service, lack of care with our food, and the racial profiling, this was one of the most unwelcoming and inappropriate experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. McAlister’s needs to seriously address how customers are being treated at this location.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience! The customer service at this location couldn’t be worse. It’s disheartening because this was my first experience at any McAlister’s Deli, and I will not be returning. I made my order on the night of 10/22. Unfortunately, it was past the order deadline for the day. I was unaware of that. Once I got the email confirmation and it stated that the order would be ready on the morning of the 23rd, I drove around to the drive through to attempt to cancel it. The gentleman, who happens to be the only upside to this experience, apologized and told me that they wouldn’t have access to my order to cancel it until the next day. Because I expected my order that night, I was in no position to get it the next day as I knew I’d be at work. Knowing that, I made it my business to contact the store the moment they opened in hopes of canceling. To my surprise, I got no answer. In fact, each time I called that day, I got no answer. I then reached out to customer care who submitted a request on my behalf for a refund and told me the process would take up to 72 hours. 72 hours passed, so I reached back out to the location. Luckily, I was able to get someone on the phone who told me the GM was on the way to the bank and would reach back out to me when she returned. The GM, goodness gracious, had the absolute WORST attitude ever. She was rushing me through the conversation when she called as I was trying to give her information regarding my order. She mentioned having access to cameras and how everything that happens at her property goes straight to her phone. She treated me as thought I was lying about my experience. She asked for a case number from customer care which I did not have, but am sure she did since she knows everything. However, I obliged and reached back out to customer service for the number. When I finally got ahold of customer care, I spoke with a lady by the name of Megan who informed me of the number and also told me that my case was closed by the store. SO IF YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MY ORDER OR THE CASE…WHO CLOSED IT WITHOUT ISSUING ME A REFUND?!? I DID NOT GET MY ORDER. I am HIGHLY upset as I type this review today, 10/30 without my refund or even so much as a store credit for the order I placed. To put it straight, this place stole my money. !!PLEASE AVOID...

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE EVER.

I recently just went into McAlister’s to try and get food for my 1 year old son who suffers from food allergies. Anyone who has ever dealt with that would know that certain foods have cross contamination from equipment used at facilities that process said allergy. So in order to prevent my son from ending up in the hospital I asked for the allergy book that every restaurant is required to have in store ALWAYS. At first the cashier didn’t know about it and asked Rudy the manager on duty for the book. She couldn’t find it. Instead of looking for it she very rudely told me they don’t have one. Then when I said that every restaurant is required to have one, she said they actually do have a book but it is misplaced and she could call the main manager and ask, but it would take a long time to find it. I would have patiently waited, but Rudy has the worst attitude and absolutely no sense of customer service. She could have handled the situation differently, instead she yelled at me about why she couldn’t find it and told me they don’t even have peanuts. At one point I was yelling so loudly that she needs to fix her attitude that I just walked out because I would have gone back there and it would have been a whole other problem. The way she acted was so unprofessional, disgusting, and rude. When you sign up to work in the food industry, you sign up to serve people their food WITHOUT attitude. When you sign up to be a manager, YOUR JOB IS TO MANAGE. How is it managing the situation when you’re the person escalating the problem? If my baby would have had something that had peanuts by cross contamination and she looked me in my face and did there is no nuts here, if he would have ended in the hospital that would be a fat lawsuit. She should be demoted to dishwasher because whoever hired her to represent McAlisters was the biggest mistake. Absolutely awful place with awful...
