Dissapointing in a nutshell. We were greeted outside by by a very nice lady. Inside it was a typical bar/pub setting. Waited about ten minutes for s seat to open up at the bar. During that time no one asked if we needed help. Once a couple of seats opened up at the bar we sat down. The bartender was lukewarm and unattentive. She was more concerned with chit-chatting and serving her co-workers that finished their shift. When she did make her way to us we told her it was our first time in. She did not welcome us or let us know about any specials. She did however make a statement that I thought was very il inappropriate in reference to a pillow fighting tournament being aired on their tvs. She stated "I do think it's pretty "gay" for men to be pillow fighting." I thought the tournament was stupid although amusing, but she does not know me and has no right to speak on that subject and describe it as she did. She does not know if I have family members, friends or what my preference may be. This is something the owner should address as she may make a statement like that to the wrong person, who could take great offense. I decided to try the wings since some reviews said they were good. When I asked her about the sauces she was short and impatient, like it was a bother to answer. At one point she said "sir I don't know." With a very dismissive attitude. Initinally ordered the Fluffy flavor and she suggested that I do half and half. So I did half fluffy and half Buffalo only because she said the hot was "too hot" we like spicy food but took her advice. The buffalo was just buffalo so I ended up having to get the hot on the side, which was not that hot by the way. She asked if I wanted ranch or blue cheese and I said both as I order the same way everywhere we dine.(no upcharge and if there is one it is disclosed) The wings were okay, nothing special, just average. My lady had the chicken burger which comes with lettuce and tomatoes. The chicken breats was super thin. The sandwich itself was average at best. The wings are priced on the menu at $12.49 for 10 wings. When the bill came out they were rang in at $13.48. I asked the bartender where the extra dollar came from and she looked at it confused and then said "Oh it was for getting half and half flavor. I asked her if she could remove the charge because I was not made aware of the charge while ordering as I should have been. She stated that she could not but the manager could. She spoke briefly with the manager away from us then the manager "Sheila" approached us in an unfriendly manner. She did not smile, greet us or ask us how things were. She just came up and said how can I help you, knowing she was just fully informed of my request. I explained and asked for the charge to be removed again. She looked bewildered as if it was a monumental task. She then said it is because you got extra blue cheese dressing. There was nothing extra, there was 1 blue cheese and 1 ranch. She was rude and took the check to the register. When she came back it was still wrong. She only took off .50 cents. I informed her that it was still incorrect and she stared at me intensely stating that "we discussed this." Then she said oh because you ordered half and half. I explained it was not about the money but the principle. Make customers aware of an upcharge instead of just adding to a bill arbitrarily. I checked the digital menu and there was no mention of any such upcharge. The bartender grabbed a paper menu and said it is on here. I stated we did not see a paper menu. She looked on the menu only to find that it was not on there either. Needless to say we will not be back. I do hope the owner of this establishment sees this review and addresses them accordingly. There are for too many other places to eat for service to be this bad. Epecially on our first visit with food that was average at best. The bartender was most attentive when it was time to tip. She is fortusnte to have gotten a tip. I would not...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped into this bar from several recommendations from locals around downtown Atlanta. Everyone raved about the wings and what type to order if we were to stop in. We arrived at the bar just after 5pm on a weekday. We were advised by a sign at the entrance to seat ourselfs - we found a high top table and awaited a waitress.
First thing we noticed was a dirty tables that hadn't been bused right infront of the entrance.
After 10mins our waitress who never introduced herself brought us waters and asked us if we wanted to order from the bar. I wasn't ready for a drink so we went ahead and order wings to go. Our waitress could not answer question on the difference sauces and seemed very disinterested in taking our order. 15mins passed without any attention our waitress.
I decided to approach the bar to inquire about the drink specials being offered. I purchased my drink and returned to the table. Subsequently, our waitress approached my wife in an agitated manner, expressing her annoyance and stating that we had caused her trouble by not ordering drinks through her.
She stormed out in the middle of our conversation, prompting me to request the manager from the security personnel. I was directed to the establishment's owner, Mr. John, with whom I discussed the matter concerning his waitress. He acknowledged the situation and assured us that he would address it with the staff member in question.
Approximately 15 minutes later, the food was delivered to our table by "the cook, not the waitress". After another 10 minutes, the waitress returned with our bill and payment device, placing them on the table before promptly leaving. I settled the payment, collected our food, and departed. Our receipt indicated that the waitress's name was Baily.
We were astounded by the waitress's unprofessional and impolite demeanor toward customers. This incident marked our first and final visit to the establishment, as we will Never be returning. Additionally, the quality of the wings was merely average. In light of our experience, we advise potential customers to consider alternative dining options, as the establishment may not provide adequate value for...
Read moreThis is a classic case of "Do not judge the book by its cover". We went there on a Sunday afternoon on the day of a 5K race near Centennial park. It is very close to Centennial park, CNN, Georgia Aquarium, and the World of Coca-Cola. We were contemplating whether we should go or not since the outside looked like a small shady bar but this lady outside raved about the burgers so much that we went inside to give it a try. Here is the summary of our experience:
Ambiance 5/5: From the outside, it looks small and shady but once you are inside, the ambiance is peppy and vibrant like a cool hipster sports bar. A good place to hang out with friends on a game night
Service5/5: Although initially, it was slow, the servers were really sweet and helpful.
Food 3.5/5: I did not order their most famous burger since I do not eat beef. Here is what we ordered:
Fried chicken burger: Come with a side. I did not like the fact that they charge you extra for your toppings and even the sauce. Frankly I like the burner but did not love it. we ordered potato tots which were good in portion size
Grilled chicken burger: This is the first time, I like a grilled chicken burger more than a fried chicken burger. The burger buns were soggy. The french fries portion was really good and came in hot. The buffalo hot sauce is really not very hot (As per Indian standards :) )
PS: Burgers only come with a free add on of tomatoes and lettuce
Value for money 4/5: Overall we spent $25 for the burger and a side which does not look bad but this was since we only had one add on each. If you put in the add ons, it might quickly add up so definitely not a pocket friendly burger
In all, I would recommend this place for a great night with friends and not for a pocket...
