Tea Around Town ATLANTA was such a HUGE disappointment & the customer service to get things resolved wasn’t any better as I have been going back & forth with them on phone calls & emails since we departed the bus 4/5/25. It's really too much to type but I want to give a detailed account of what happened.
On Saturday, April 5, 2025, our time to get on the Tea Around Town – Atlanta bus was 4pm. We arrived early as stated on their website. Upon getting to Centennial Park, there were tons of people waiting to get on one of the buses, I inquired with one of the ladies waiting & she stated that the buses were extremely behind, I was thinking maybe it was just a 5-10 minute delay, needless to say when we finally started loading for our 4pm bus it was 4:50pm…over an hour waiting in the sun...this would be aggravating for anybody especially driving almost 3 hours from Montgomery, AL to get there. (There was no text notifications or any communications received at all during this time from TAT-Atlanta.)
We pulled off around 5pm & was back at centennial park at 5:26pm...roughly 25-30mins...we only went a few miles...mind you this was supposed to be a 75 minute tour!
We didn't even get a chance to eat all of our food nor the opportunity to package our food because we didn't receive boxes. There was absolutely no caviar, deviled eggs, etc. It was my friends birthday & we were expecting opulence, luxe & a spirit of excellence! The manager (Kelvin) on site came inside the bus to speak with us & also called his supervisor but that didn't give much resolve to the issues besides saying they could drive us around the block since our tour was only only 30 mins…terrible. Just terrible.
I have reached out to TAT via email as we would like a refund because THIS was/is totally unacceptable & is utterly embarrassing for Tea Around Town THE BRAND!
Email I sent stated “ I would like to speak to someone at corporate about our Tea Around Town experience in Atlanta...it was a disorganized disappointment. Luxe was indeed NOT LUXE! Waiting over an hour to be seated on the bus to drive us less than 2-3 miles is utterly ridiculous & a waste of our money, time & effort. We paid to have a lush time for 75 mins but only got about 30 mins. I've never been so disgusted & behooved in my life!!!
Where was the prestigious pearls of caviar? deviled eggs? emerald dream? Cloud 9 Creme? Out of 5 teas, we only tasted two, TWO, some only tasted one as they left the bus disgusted & the tables had absolutely no sugar!!!!”
All these bus routes should be at least 2 hours apart, Atlanta traffic isn't built to run that many times in a day especially on the weekend. Bus times needs to be reevaluated & text notifications need to be in place if running significantly late.
Greed will eventually ruin this business as its not operating in best practices...go back to the drawing board & refund us our money because WHAT ARE YALL DOING!!???
Oh & let me say Zeno was absolutely sweet & Kelvin has the grace & patience only God can give...kudos to them. The tea pourers were nice considering our displeasure & disgust. Tea Around Town DO BETTER!
I have called 3 times & spoke with Bradford (management) each called & he assured me he would get everything resolved...first offering us a reschedule. I consulted with the ladies I was with & they requested a refund. We have yet to resolve this issue & its going on 2 weeks. No email responses from TAT, nor any follow-up calls, even though Bradford said he would follow up by email on April 7th & April 8th & now on April 16th. Its been the same run around for...

This review serves as a serious warning to anyone considering booking an event with Tea Around Town Atlanta. My recent experience with this company was nothing short of a fraudulent scam, leaving a group of approximately 30 women stranded, disappointed, and out of pocket right before Mother's Day weekend.
Our scheduled pickup was egregiously mishandled. Despite their request for us to arrive 15 minutes early, we stood waiting in the rain for a staggering 45 minutes past our scheduled time. Repeated attempts to contact Tea Around Town Atlanta via phone were met with unanswered calls.
Finally, after 40 minutes of being kept on hold, a representative informed us that the bus had broken down prior to our scheduled pickup and would not be coming at all. To add insult to injury, an email informing us of this cancellation was only sent while we were actively on the phone complaining about their egregious delay. This lack of proactive communication is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete disregard for their customers.
The impact of their negligence was significant. Our group, which included out-of-town guests who had paid to support this event, was left standing in the rain, dressed up for a special occasion, with no transportation and no prior notice.
Initially, Tea Around Town Atlanta verbally assured us of a full refund, including reimbursement for our travel expenses. However, they have now reneged on this promise, stating they will not refund the "administrative fee" and "gas fee" for a service that was never provided. All we are demanding is the full refund of the money we paid for a service we did not receive.
The disparity between the experience advertised online and the reality is shocking. Based on my experience and countless other similar reviews, it appears Tea Around Town Atlanta employs deceptive practices, using paid advertising and potentially curated positive reviews to create a false impression of their services. Numerous customers have reported similar incidents of no-shows, shortened trips, and substandard service that deviates drastically from their advertised offerings. Alarmingly, many of these reviewers also state they never received their promised refunds, suggesting a pattern of theft and scamming customers.
It is evident that Tea Around Town Atlanta is active on social media, engaging with positive feedback while ignoring legitimate complaints from dissatisfied customers. Let me be clear: this review will not be removed until our issue is fully resolved with a complete refund. This experience has also been reported to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and other relevant outlets, and those reports will remain active until a satisfactory resolution is reached.
Their practice of offering a service they frequently fail to deliver, then attempting to withhold funds behind layers of management, strongly suggests a deliberate intent to scam customers.
To anyone considering booking with Tea Around Town Atlanta, I implore you to think twice and research thoroughly. The overwhelming number of negative reviews detailing similar experiences of no-shows, cancellations, and withheld refunds should serve as a...
Read moreA tea time themed bus tour around Atlanta is a cute idea, but is it worth the price? Let's talk about it.
As someone who actually enjoys tea and city tours, I was very excited about doing this. But after a two hour delay and zero communication about why our tour got bumped not once but twice, the tea and tour were the least of my worries. I just wanted to get on a bus.
The website promises an array of teas to choose from. There was no choice and barely any tea. A guy with a carafe walked around pouring paltry amounts of lukewarm tea into the free tumblers we were supposed to take home. Sometimes he'd pour tea, sometimes he'd pour lemonade. Neither were the traditional teas you'd expect from a tea themed event. They were probably bottled teas they bought at the grocery store this morning.
The sandwiches were good, but there just weren't enough of them for upwards of four people at a table. Luckily for us, our bus wasn't full so we took sandwiches from the empty tables.
The tour left much to be desired. If you're familiar with ATL, you're not going to see anything you haven't seen before. And even if you're from out of town, the tour just isn't that interesting, especially when halfway through it goes from a tour bus to a karaoke bus.
Don't even think about paying for the luxe package. Apart from boarding first, the extra dessert, drinks, and food are not worth the extra $20, especially if the entire experience turns out like ours.
I mentioned earlier the lack of communication. It wasn't just from the company to the customer. Their own employees couldn't get in touch with anyone to get answers for us. That poor lady. The woman who got everyone checked in is a saint. She took a lot of heat about the delays and never raised her voice or retaliated. We all received one text message saying the tour would be delayed by one hour. After that, we received nothing. When the one hour mark was up, we thought the arriving bus was ours only to find out it was not. It was for the 2 p.m. group. Why they got to keep their schedule while we got delayed yet another hour was beyond us and that employee. Even the supervisor on the bus couldn't give us answers. They said they had no way to find out what was going on. Can you imagine? No contact with the home office or even another bus? What happens if there's an emergency?
So is it worth the $99? It was decent for what it was, but I would definitely NOT recommend...
