Myself and my pregnant wife RSVP'd for their social event "Social Spades" for Sunday January 26th. We wanted to try out this NA bar since she can't have any alcoholic drinks but still wanted to have the feel of going on a date to get drinks. The event was from 12pm-6pm. I noticed the bar didn't open until 1pm on the website so I just assumed we had the first hour for the social event before everyone else can come. We arrived at 12:10pm and no one answered at the callbox. We waited in our car an hour later and was let in by a kind stranger. We found out from the website that the opening times changed to 2:30pm. The bar was not open either. Why didn't anyone send an email/call to let us know? We had to leave as we had other plans. Edit (01/31/25): In response to the owner's message, no one from the Sober Social spoke to us directly about the updated times. You may have spoken to someone else, but not us. The only people we spoke to were a lady who let us into the building and another lady from the top floor who helped us find your bar when it was still closed.

I recently had a fantastic visit to Sober Social, a unique non-alcoholic venue tucked away in a secure concept house. To enter, you must be buzzed in; the spot is located on the first floor. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the owner, whose friendly welcome set the tone for the evening. The ambiance and decor are charming, with ample seating for a small crowd, making it a cozy spot for socializing. The menu offers a wide range of creative drinks to suit different tastes. I ordered the Socialite, a refreshing blend featuring a tequila alternative and hibiscus, which was packed with flavor. My husband chose the Reserve--a drink reminiscent of an Old Fashioned made with a whiskey alternative--and he enjoyed it. I also discovered on their website that they host happy hour on Thursdays and Fridays from 4-6 PM, so I'm looking forward to returning with friends. If you're looking for something different, fun, and non-alcoholic, I highly recommend supporting this local, woman-owned small business. Be sure to mention that @atlchels sent you!

This place has potential! It's definitely a chill but welcoming vibe. Although the drinks are mainly alcohol free, they also have light beer and wine for people who prefer to truly imbibe. I would suggest this as a first date spot since it provides light bites, drinks, and a semi quiet atmosphere to converse. Especially for my folks who are big on coffee shop meet-ups or think they're cliche. When I went, all she ( the owner) had at the time were personal pizzas and bakery items but said she anticipates including small sandwiches in the future. Just a heads-up, the drinks cost about the same as alcoholic they are good and worth the try. This makes sense because they are not just giving you mixers but actually using a zero proof style liquor or whatever the term is. Anywho, have a visit, try a mocktail, and don't forget to try the kava!

Went here with a group of Muslim friends. I don't drink so was excited to try this spot. Was a bit disappointed and won't be going back. I did not like the flavor of my drink. Maybe it's because it's a play on alcohol and I don't drink so I didn't get the appeal. One friend in my group did not take more than 2 sips of hers. Another friend was told they ran out of ingredients for the most popular drink so she was stuck with something she didn't order. The customer service was a bit confusing. We seemed to have two different waiters, one who came to intercept us as we walked up to the bar to order and she told us she'd take our drink order. I couldn't tell what had prompted the sudden attention to us since we'd been sitting for at least 15 minutes with no one coming over. Then toward the end of our stay what seemed to be a random man came over to mumble and ask us how things were going. We didn't understand what he was doing and he didn't seem confident and faded quickly into the background. Left me confused. A friend who was not originally part of our group joined us and ordered a drink separately. She left us and came back holding a receipt telling us they had her pay for all our drinks ($92!!) I have come to the conclusion that it was a bit of lazy deductive reasoning and must have assumed because of the way she was dressed (she wore a headscarf like the majority of our party) that she was part of our group (she was not). I don't understand how you don't keep track of who is ordering what. Why wouldn't you make sure customers are paying for things correctly. Overall was nicely decorated, cute place to be. But games were everywhere not tidy, customer service was sub par, and it might be me, but the drinks just weren't that good for how expensive they were. At least the fruit in my...

I went last night with my husband, 3/31.The ambience is great. The drinks were great. I enjoyed it. The noise level was just right. The flavors were unique. The only reason I'm giving a lower review is because of the fact that our server was dishonest. We were charged 20% gratuity , and that is only charged to large groups. On top of the 20% the screen still asks for tip so it makes you think you haven't tipped, and she saw my husband give a cash tip as well and didn't say anything. I know life is expensive but that left a bad tate in my mouth. The sneakiness is unnecessary. The menu states the prices of our drinks are $10.50 but my reciept said $13.50, once again I'm happy to pay the price for this beautiful place but I prefer it being stated upfront. We ordered two drinks and in total paid over $40 for a Social Butterfly and a JA'MAkin me Social . My advice ask to see the reciept first.

UPDATE:

Prior to the website being updated , on the night I went the menu had $10.50 prices when I scanned the QR CODE, and it said the the 20% gratuity would be added to larger groups of 6 or more, I checked a second time before typing my review. I re-checked and yes the prices are now $13.50, they weren't that on Friday night (3/31) and yes now I see all the way at the bottom it says 20% gratuity every check...I know what I read, oh well. I stated over $40 because I gave a cash tip. Yes , my order was $34.78 prior to cash tip...
