Michelangelo’s Pizza – A Hidden Gem That Delivers Big on Flavor and Value
Nestled comfortably in the heart of town, Michelangelo’s Pizza stands as a refreshing reminder of what happens when quality ingredients, honest service, and a commitment to consistency come together under one roof. On our recent visit, we sampled the 18” pepperoni pizza and a whole steak and cheese sub — and let me tell you, this spot doesn’t just serve food; it delivers satisfaction by the slice.
From the moment we walked in, it was clear this wasn’t your average corner pizza joint. The order was ready right on time — piping hot, freshly made, and handled with care. No reheats, no soggy bottoms, no cut corners. Just real, hearty fare the way it should be.
The 18” pepperoni pizza was exactly what a classic pie should strive to be — thin, yet sturdy crust with a golden char, rich tomato sauce that leaned savory over sweet, and a generous helping of crispy, cupped pepperoni that had that perfect edge of spice. It was the kind of pizza that hits the table and disappears before anyone has time to count slices.
The steak and cheese sub, equally impressive, came fully loaded. Tender strips of seasoned steak, melted cheese that clung to every bite, and a fresh, lightly toasted roll that held it all together. This wasn’t a skimpy sandwich — it was a full-on meal with leftovers likely only if you’re showing more discipline than I did.
And let’s talk value — the portion sizes were more than generous, and the pricing felt like a throwback to when going out for good food didn’t mean blowing your budget. In a world of overpriced bites and underwhelming portions, Michelangelo’s is a reminder that you can still get your money’s worth.
Bottom line? We’ll be back. Every visit. Every time. Michelangelo’s has earned a spot on our go-to list — not just for the food, but for delivering a no-nonsense, flavor-first experience that’s becoming all too rare these days.

Read moreI tried the cauliflower crust pizza out of curiosity on Friday night. The friendly server who delivered it to me told me that I would probably be back for another one real soon. Everyone behind the counter agreed that this pizza was delicious. They were sooo right. I typically don't care for thin pizza crusts, but this one was unbelievably good... crispy, but not tough. The pizza toppings were great too.
The fellow from Friday night was right! When Amos Mosquitoes had an hour wait on Saturday, where did I suggest that my friend and I go for dinner? Michelangelo's! She and I both got the cauliflower crust pizza. She loved it, and I decided that it was my new favorite pizza. We also had their garden salad, It was very fresh and topped with a generous portion of mozzarella cheese. It was delicious too. Though the atmosphere is that of a fast food restaurant, there are plenty of tables and booths for comfortable dining in. The restaurant was very busy, which tells me that the other things on the menu are likely delicious too! Highly...
