BEWARE PPL My friend and I came to Atexcac restaurant nearly a wk ago while walking the boardwalk on our 1st arrival day in Atlantic City. We both ordered shrimp burritos w/everything at $19 each. We wanted it to go since it was much hotter inside the restaurant than outdoors which made NO sense. So we sat on boardwalk to eat. We noticed that our burritos tasted bland and were very dry. We opened them up to discover NO beans and very little sauce. We brought them back to the restaurant to tell them about our burritos. The female staff that took our order said that they ran out of beans. So I asked why didn't you tell us so we would be aware and decide if we still wanted to place the order. She stated the cooks didn't tell her which I thought was a complete lie. She then gave me only $2 back. I thought her actions was totally insensitive and insulting. I continued to eat my burrito because I was so hungry although I didn't enjoy it. However my friend really wasn't enjoying hers at all and was insulted by the $2 that was given back to me. So she then asked to speak to a manager. While talking to the manager she noticed a customer picking up her order that included beans. My friend told the manager how yall going to leave out a main food item in our burritos, not inform us, and still charge us regular price? Are you serious? What if someone did that to you would you be ok with that? She also said I'm not enjoying mines. Another customer just left your restaurant with beans for her order so what's that about? Yall going to have to do better than $2. The manager then apologized to my friend and gave her a $17 refund. So with that being said ppl you have to check your orders before you leave these type of places, especially when you're paying your hard earned funds for something that you want that is not really that cheap. I believe they were trying to be slick especially with on the go orders thinking customers would not notice or return to them complaining about their orders. Most likely my friend and I will absolutely NOT be returning to this restaurant for...
Read moreWow! From the moment we walked in, it's been great! We were greeted instantly and they were very accommodating. Im allergic to peppers and onions. They made sure not to put them in my food but also alerted me the rice is cooked with onion but doesn't have onion in it, which is fine for me. The food is cooked to order and very fresh. My husband got beef enchiladas that came with 4 enchiladas, rice, refried beans and small salad for $17. I got a chicken bowl that had beans, rice, chicken, cheese and sour cream. I asked for no pico and guacamole on the side to give my husband. They were able to give me plain avacado instead, which was a nice surprise. Mine came with a side of homemade chips and was only $14. The green enchilada sauce was a smidge spicy per my husband. We both loved the rice, refried beans and chips. My bowl was delicious. We agreed this was o e of the best Mexican meals we've had in a long time and we eat Mexican food at least twice a week. it's also the best meal we've had since being in town for 3 days. We will definitely visit again...
Read moreThis was my first time trying Atexcac and the experience was good. I got the carnitas bowl which came with tortilla chips and my daughter tried the quesabirria tacos. My bowl was good, it came with seasoned rice, fried pork pieces, crema, cheese and pico de gallo. By the time i made it to my hotel about 15 mins had passed and the bowl was cold but that was my fault. My daughter gave her tacos a 9/10 ⭐️ (included the text thread). The girls taking the order were friendly and smiling. I appreciated that because i find that every worker at restaurants i go to nowadays are so miserable. My ONLY complaint was the wait time. I waited over 45 minutes for my order. They were super busy being as it was July 4th, so that could’ve been it. But i would definitely give them another try when I am down at the shore on a day that’s...
