If you're in Atlantic City and looking for a laid-back spot to grab a drink and a bite, Ducktown Tavern and its outdoor bar, The Duck Hut, is a great find. It was one of the few places open early, making it a lifesaver for early birds or those looking for a pre-lunch hangout. The highlight of my visit was their unforgettable “Heart Attack Burger”—a tower of indulgent fried goodness packed with mozzarella, onions, fries, chicken, and bacon. Served with Diet Coke for those on a diet ;). It's not for the faint of heart, but if you're craving something deliciously over-the-top, this is your spot. The outdoor setup at The Duck Hut is perfect for relaxing. Just two blocks from the Boardwalk and Tanger Outlets, it's conveniently located and offers a great vibe. The outdoor games, like Corn Hole and Giant Connect Four, add an element of fun, and the TVs scattered around ensure you won't miss a game while you're there. With ice-cold drinks, solid food, and a breezy, friendly atmosphere, Ducktown Tavern and The Duck Hut make for an excellent stop in the heart of Atlantic City. Whether you're winding down after some shopping or starting your day with a hearty meal, this spot has you covered!

NOT SAFE!!! Placed a takeout order with waitress Elizabeth A, paid and tipped 20%,as told 15 min later i came back to pick it up when the waitress said she doesn’t remember me ,that they had a long day, and if i want my money back i can GTFO , she looked very INTOXICATED and started cursing me, I started looking for the MANAGER/BARTENDER as I remember for 7 years they’re very nice people , he was busy and who she told me was the manager, guy with beard and mustache sitting at a table and drinking, most likely intoxicated as well , aggressively came at me asking to apologize to the waitress , and other 10 men behind him ready to JUMP/ASSAULT me, I didn’t feel safe to call police as i know they’re very supportive of this place and after they give me a bag with what’s supposed to be my order i left . It wasn’t what i paid for, Consumer protection should check this place as lately the staff doesn’t act within the rules and law!

Very dive bar feeling. As other reviews mentioned, not many covid practices followed. We went on a Saturday night and it was packed. It seems like a fun atmosphere. They don’t seem to have clear signs and we had to find our own table. The have a selection of a few craft beers and the typical normal ones on draft. Food was average for me and felt like an afterthought to add to the bar. The nachos looked thrown together. My Philly steak pizza was hard. The only reason why I’m giving this four stars is because my boyfriend described this place as his top 3 dining experiences in AC for the wings. He said the wings were the best he’s ever eaten in his life. I’m not a wings gal, but he would recommend coming here for the wings.

Party if four, we went yesterday after beerfest. We weren't the only party that ventured there from beerfest. The tavern was closed. Had to walk to the parking lot to the "Duck Hut". First thought on entry, ghetto and cheap with two porta-potties right there at the front in view of everyone at the venue and the streets. Picnic tables and small round tables. A bar with two bartenders and a bar back. Two servers. We grab drinks at the bar and then sat at a take with a menu (found on the bar). Watch for the next 29 minutes as both servers tap the two tables next to us, then the other tables. Finally my friend who was getting hangry gets up and goes to the bar. The bartender tells him before my friend could speak, "I'm sending someone to you". He sits back down and we wait another 10 minutes. Server comes and takes the order, we ask how long, her response " eh it's gonna be a while, don't know how long". Comes back 5 minutes later to confirm before she submitted the order...... Good comes, it's just okay. Nachos are your basic high school cafeteria nacho. Cheap cheese out of a can, same with the veggies. The fried Gouda was very good, wings just okay. Then we played a quick game of Cornhole until we left. So service: 2/10; bartender: 6/10; ambiance: 1/10; overall: 3/10. With all the other places actually putting in an effort to make their outdoor look appealing, this place obviously does not care. Take a lesson from Tennessee Ave Beer Hall. They have so much more business and it isn't just bc the food and beer selection is better. I would not go back or recommend the Duck...

Professionalism was at a height when I visited. Bartender had the food waitress come take my order. It was late night and apparently the only place in A/C ,that truly serves food 24 hrs. Yes all casinos should have a seated option anytime of day but none of them do. They have true 24 he service. Was warned it was a dive bar but food was good. I can confirm food was good not as dive bar as I consider a dive bar. No holes in bathroom floor no risk of unexpectedly falling into the basement. So not in my book as a dive bar but a solid neighborhood joint. I'd recommend as long as you haven't been partying too much elsewhere. Don't bring your mess here. Acceptable if you become a mess here just watch your pregame. I found this to be a nice place with good food not far from where I was staying but I was warned do not try to walk here. Save your life and invest in UBER. The bar itself wasn't scary or overly exciting. I'm from tough places and probably wouldn't have had an issue however I do heed local advice. If you're visiting don't walk here but fine to uber or cab it. They do have an awesome wine menu in addition to the liquor. They had some bourbon considered rare in my neck of the country and pricing was reasonable. My main advice is don't compare the midnight bartender to McGregor no matter how tempting it might be. Have fun drink wisely don't puke or you will forever be hated and never welcome back. I was a witness not...

The waitress was so rude I let it slide several times before I said and did something. We knew what we wanted to drink and eat as soon as she came, 1. No greeting or name 2. “I take your drink order first, and then I take your order for food” 3. I asked for peach high noon, she gave me black cherry, 4. She never asked if we were ok, 5. I asked for a water with lemon, she goes, “bottled water”!? Uh no you tried it. I said tap water with lemon. … 6. She drops off the check, doesn’t ask if we need a box & walks away. That’s when I lost my shit. I took the receipt crumbled it up threw it away after I said to her while she’s walking away. We were never done ordering and never asked for the check. Other customers noticed I had a fit. I left to go to the bathroom right after to cool down, I come back and sit down, and the waitress quickly comes over and says “baby drink your shots they gonna get warm”. I looked at her and said, I didn’t order these shots, the girls did, while I was in the bathroom.. she was acting so nice after I threw away the first check. We stayed a good 35 mins after and she kept coming over being extra nice and specifically to me. Like girl you ain’t getting any tip from me with the way you acted from start to finish. The bill was 92$. She really needs to learn customer service and not rush people. 92$ and her tip wasn’t even 15% she didn’t deserve it. I’ll never...
