We stopped here while in Atlantic City during our Wildwood trip. We bought my 6-year-old niece a stuffed toy along the boardwalk before we got to this store on our walk along the boardwalk. My niece left this toy accidently at the store on the checkout counter. It appears that the staff saw this toy on the checkout counter but allowed another child to technically steal it without inquiring where the toy on the counter went. They even admitted that they saw the child with it. We were forced to spend the money on another stuffed toy for my niece and this let a bad taste in my mouth for this store. As of April 2023, the prices are $4.24 for 1/4 pound, $8.48 for 1/2 pound, and $16.96 for one pound. ~$17 for a pound of candy might sound crazy, but you probably shouldn't be eating a pound of candy anyways unless you're sharing and if that's the case, then it's not so bad.
Plus, a benefit of choosing your own candy is you get to take exactly what you want and how much you want which is a sure win for me and others who just want to try a bit of a few different candies and not just get bags of one particular candy that you might get sick of after a few days.
