Joe's Famous Hoagies & Steaks — Restaurant in Atlantic City

Please read the reviews of this place before ordering. I’m kicking myself for not doing that! The write up of my order is exactly as I asked. However, what I received and paid for are two different things. I didn’t reconcile the total cost to the menu which is my fault. The menu I ordered from (received in the lobby of my hotel) had significantly different prices from what is online (I had a paper menu didn’t need to look at the website).

I ordered the Gnocci with chicken and Alfredo (15.95 on the menu). What I received was chicken Alfredo (when I called back was told they were out of Gnocchi….not worth mentioning when I placed the order?). What I ordered wasn’t even on the online menu. I asked for extra Parmesan on the side……didn’t receive.

Next I ordered a 1/2 ham and cheese cold sub (7.95 on the menu) with lettuce, Tomato, onion, and mayo with oil and vinegar in the side. What I received was a ham and cheese sub with mayo…..that’s it.

I called the store to discuss and was asked to call back in 30 minutes because they were busy…..and that the manager was out today (interesting there was no manager on duty). I called back, got someone else at which point I found out the menu prices were different than the actual prices (this is what drove me to look at the online site). The guy told me he would have the guy that took my order call me back. I’m still waiting for that call.

Maybe things would be different if I had gone into the restaurant instead of ordering online, but I’m not a local and just...

I ordered late on Saturday night and I am very disappointed with this food order my order the cheesesteak with lettuce and the meat and the cheese. The bread was hard as a rock. It tasted like it must’ve been out for three days. The cheesecake I took a bite into it and something hard was in there so I spit that out. I called back when they were making the order gentleman answered the phone and told me they already made the cheesesteak. I asked them to put hot peppers on the side in the bag. What place that makes cheesesteaks at the Jersey shore does not put hot peppers in a bag every place I know from Sacco‘s to Dino’s always put hot peppers in the bag regardless if you ask for them or not!!!! ABSOLUTELY the worst cheesesteak I’ve ever had!!! The only good thing about this cheesesteak was the fast delivery and the delivery driver was very nice and I still tipped her $10. My bill was $16.85 and I gave her a $10 tip. I do not recommend this place at all. I am not happy with the food quality the rude customer service on the phone. The guy that answered the phone was so grumpy when I asked him to put hot peppers in the bag and then he told me he would and he said oh they already made the steak and I’m like OK but put my peppers in the bag. I ordered on 4/12/25 a XL pizza with half beef topping and half green peppers onions and jalapeños and also a 2 litter soda for delivery to my hotel which turns out is only 3 blocks away from this business the food gets here and it's missing the green peppers I tell the driver it's not her fault I zero out the tip portion and write the balance which was $47.86 and I paid the driver cash for her tip I contact the business about the order and the person on the phone is arguing with me because they charged me for a topping but it's not on my pizza so to resolve the issue I ask if they can just send over the toppings and I'll cook and add it to the pizza myself cool problem solved I eat the pizza and it's terrible after the pizza cooled off the cheese looked like plastic which was wierd I get back home on 4/14/25 and on Monday 4/15/25 the charge finalized on my credit card and the total is $10 more then my receipt meaning someone added $10 to my receipt which brought my total to 57.86 i contacted the business and they said they don't see that on there end but I have the proof on my credit card statement this business terrible and they steal from there customers I will never again use there business and I'm disputing the extra charge with my credit card company be mindful of where you order from while...
