Now normally when I do reviews, it wait until after my food. However, I write this while sitting here. Greeted immediately as I came in, given a table and took my drink order. That drink came back fast as expected. However, it took 16 mins before some came around to take my order. I know the look of servers as I'm was a bartender, now General Manager and been in the restuarant business for 10 years. Usually a server sections is assigned but it looks like here they take tables on rotation. Not a big deal, but after listening carefully, I could see no one knew who to take my table. Rather than someone taking it, they continued to walk around and talk with their regulars. Which is fine, that's where most servers/bartenders make their money. However, customer service is about everyone, not just your regulars. They don't know me, and I've never been here, but no one should have to sit and be ignored. Now, my server was a nice young lady. Probably in high school or fresh out of high school. She was nice and it seems like she was suppose to be my server all along, but either no one told her or someone messed up rotation. Pro Tip Servers: If you are speaking a different language, and saying some really inappropriate things (although I found it kind of funny tbh, it's a restuarant thing) don't speak as loud, you don't know who else can understand you. Also you don't make money hanging out in the back, on your phone, which I can clearly see 2 of them doing. I have to hand it to my server though, even though they didn't get to me quickly, or within a reasonable amount of time, she followed her steps of service and seemed to be the only one really working. You know the old saying, "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean". This Kerby's food was good. Hashbrowns a touch overcooked but I love them that way. But make sure you are scraping you flat top cooks, I found broccoli in my eggs and hashbrowns. Food was good overall. I'd give it a B. Lack of Manager presents, lack of structure, lack of customer service. Can't really expect a ton from a diner but things definitely could be better. To my server, Brisa, keep up the hard work, but keep your eyes open. Wasn't your fault your coworkers didn't want to take tables, they would rather stand around and talk and occasionally look it my direction to figure out who was next to take a table. I always tip 18% to 20%. Rarely less depending on service. Can't fault the server on the food she/he didn't make. However, service lacking here. Step up your game and maybe some management can do some training. Bad tips stay in your mind for a day, good tips last longer in the mind, so that's what I do. I don't want any free food or coupons, just make sure your servers work on their...
Read moreOur business orders from this place on a regular basis (at least once a week and feeding 3+ people). Pretty much the same order each time. Today they forgot part of the order which made someone have to drive back. This seems to happen way too often (we are usually able to find ketchup or forks or scrape off wrong items). However, today was the last straw! When the order taker SPECIFICALLY asks you what type of dressing you want.. and then FORGETS to bag it.. I had to drive 10mins back to get it.. DID THEY EVEN OFFER A SLICE OF CAKE? NO.. I did not even get an apology! Nope. Karen the manager seemed to think it was no big deal. Let the rest of your lunch sit and get cold while you drive all the way back.. park.. walk in.. wait.. explain... then have to drive all the way back.. There are PLENTY of koney places around.. Bob E.'s Rocket Burger Stuffed Bun ... since I am the one that pays for lunch for myself and my employees.. we will not be spending $$ here again. I am a big believer in supporting local businesses since I myself own a business near by. I would NEVER let my customer be treated this way. To tell them to come back to get the rest of their order.. and not apologize and not offer them something to show my remorse (we offer a free T shirt when we screw up). No.. Karen the "manager" just doesn't care about repeat business or good customer service (over 2 yrs observing her deMEANor). She is too busy managing her excessive use of make up and...

Food Contamination Problem waiting to happen! - June 15th 2019
--------- READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE ORDERING --------
I was at the Baldwin Auburn Hill restaurant on June 15th for a take out order. My order was cooked wrong and had to be re-made. Order remakes are common, but to my surprise while waiting I observed the head cook touch all types of food items in the kitchen with his bare hands. He touched steamed chicken breast, pitas, lettuce for salads without wiping his hands and/or using gloves. What is the food standard at your locations? Instead of washing his hands after he touched each item, he wiped his hands on his dirty white apron while lifting his ball cap. This is totally unsanitary and needs to be addressed. I watched as he literally grabbed a bare fist full of each topping for my Meat Lovers Omelette and dropped it on the grill and then proceeded to wipe his hands off on the bottom portion of his already dirty white apron. I immediately informed the take-out attendant and she responded "Oh yeah, no they don't use gloves". If not your cooks can at least use kitchen utensils during preparation. The Irony of the entire ordeal is that his assistant wore gloves the entire time but also cross contaminated his hands with food while setting up equipment and supplies.
PLEASE ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM especially since you have an open kitchen where customer can easily see the actions...
