My family loved eating at Jimmy John's until recently. We would order online and have it delivered. We always ordered the same sandwiches the same way. This last time we ordered like normal and we received our sandwiches. My husband can not eat mayo, so we always ask for none on his sandwich. It came with a ton of mayo. Then my sandwich, after eating half of it, I found a hair wedged in between the lettuce and the cheese covered with mayo. I called the store to inform the manager but he was to busy to answer the phone, so I left a message with a female. Someone called back about 40 min later and hung up right when I answered (after 2 rings). After 5 hours of waiting for them to call back, I called them back. The manager said that there is nothing he can do. The mayo on my husbands sandwich was not there fault. Even though I still have the email confirmation stating no mayo. And my sandwich would have been either refunded or remade but they only do that within the first half an hour. He even went overboard and said that it was probably my hair because there were no females working on the line. This hair was twice as long as mine and it was entangled in the ingredients. Needless to say we purchased food from them and didn't even get to eat it. We went somewhere else and ate. What happened to customer service. We will never eat there...
Read moreThis place has friendly workers and is always fast but recently they changed their delivery fee/structure and it really rubbed me wrong. Needless to say, I decided to pick up my order instead of pay a 25% delivery fee. I thought I would ask about it in the store when I picked my order up because surely that had to be a mistake on their website. I was directed to the manager and asked if the delivery charge was new. She looked at me like I was annoying her, responded back it is not new it is just no longer part of the "built in" cost on the website, it is a per item charge. I asked if that goes to the driver, of course it doesn't so I said, "isn't that cheating the drivers since people won't want to pay that ridiculous charge for delivery?" Without skipping a beat the manager cuts me off and says, "we have a hard time finding drivers anyways". Mind you, a delivery car is parked outside next to mine. In my opinion, the drivers aren't busy because what delivery place has that outrageous of a charge? I can understand $3 or $4 but not $11 for 4 sandwiches, 1 pickle and 1 bag of chips. My parting words... Jersey Mike's is closer, fresher and about the same price and Quiznos delivers for free so I won't deal with...
Read moreTo be fair I've ordered from/eaten at this Jimmy Johns a lot of times in the past and they have been the fastest and friendliest Jimmy Johns I've ever dealt with and have never had a problem with my orders. I actually like the food at subway better and the prices are better but this place is often near where I'm going and so is convenient and very fast and friendly.
Today I went in and ordered the sandwich I usually get and a drink. The guy repeated back the sandwich ordered and I said again, "and a drink" and then handed him my card and re-stated that I wanted a drink a third time. He ran my card and I asked for the cup and he said "oh did you want a drink". I told him I had asked for one three times and he said he could re-ring it up. I said not to and got my sandwich which was already completed and waiting for me at the end of the counter and walked out. I know he could hear because he got the sandwich right so he was obviously not attentive to customer, and that isn't acceptable for the person taking the orders.
Good thing I like subway food and prices better because I'll be going there...
