Located in The Arbor Park, CACHITOS512 served us with some authentic Venezuelan cuisine.

I learned a new style for making empanadas, deep fried to crispy goodness. Along with our pollo empanadas, we ordered their special of the day, cachapas with brisket. What can I say other than "it was amazing"? The flavors blended so well, from the corn, to the cream, to the cheese, to the soft lightly-seasoned brisket. And the brisket: wow. It melted with every bite, and I'm still salivating over it as I write this review. I'm surprised this is not a permanent menu item!

Additionally, we ordered 2 beverages, one hot, one cold. We ordered a café marron. It's your standard traditional coffee, but it's a little more on the milky side. I'm indifferent to its pairing to the dishes, albeit having bitterness is always welcomed. However, the cold drink was exponentially more refreshing! Their drink of the day was a passionfruit juice. Its fruity sweetness was the perfect palette cleanser to the savory dishes.

On top of all of this, the customer service was nothing but hospitable. Despite CACHITOS512 being a food truck, they came out to ask us how it was after we finished. Very personable.

The food was amazing. Ive been living here but in another state for more than a year so that means i haven’t eaten food from my country for a long time (except the one i cook ofc). Empanadas were a dream and the tequeños were amazingly delicious. However, the guy who was on the food truck, the one who took my first order he seemed to be annoyed or/and unwilling to serve people, at least with me, he had a fake smile and just looked like he didn't wanted to be there. i felt disappointed because us, Venezuelans, are always very friendly and make us feel at home and that was what i was expecting after being more than a year without being in contact with other Venezuelans. But the lady that was with him was incredibly sweet and nice, thats why i dont put three stars but four, she saved the moment, she was simply so kind and sweet, always with a smile and offered me a bag to put my order to go because she saw i was struggling. If i ever come back to Austin i will definitely visit this food truck again, mostly because of the food and...

I had the pleasure of experiencing this delightful food truck today. The dishes were beautiful and every bite was heavenly. It was difficult to not wanna order the whole menu because the portions were quite large and will give you the bang that each buck deserves when you sink your teeth into what ever you decide to order. The complexity of the flavor profile was decedent especially when paired with an ice cold Frescolita! The staff is wonderful, hardworking and personable. All in all I cannot recommend this jewel of Austin enough. An exceptional culinary experience is waiting for you on the eastside in a highly convenient location. Muchas Gracias...

Traveling from Denver and stumbled upon this fantastic food truck! I love Venezuelan food but this place is one of the best- I didn’t think I even like cachapas but this one was INCREDIBLE. So much so I might say I like them now. The tequenos were perfectly crispy, the parchita (passion fruit) and guanabana (sour sop) jugos del día were tropical delights, and the staff were so kind to entertain my love for Caribbean counties and learning Spanish. Ygor even gave us other local Austin suggestions! If you’re reading this, you gotta go here!!

Great Venezuelan food, Empanadas my favorite, tasted cachapas and arepas also good with the pork gave the cachapas a great taste, well presented and good friendly service, average around $14 per person good size portions, a little bit over my price since It's a food truck court with parking, tables are out in the open mostly with natural shade from trees no roof, no AC, didn't see bathroom but understand there are party potties. So if you are around the downtown area and want Venezuelan food it's good.

I had the vegan arepa at Cachito’s 512, and it was fantastic. Every bite tasted fresh—the plantains, tomato, and cilantro all came together beautifully. The seasoning was spot on, with just the right amount of salt to bring out the flavors. The corn arepa itself was perfectly made: nicely toasted on the outside for a light crunch, yet still soft and airy inside. That texture paired really well with the freshness of the ingredients. Easily one of the best arepas I’ve had, and I’ll definitely be back.
