lovecraft — Local services in Austin

A warning to visitors, if you do not fit the body aesthetic of lovecroft, aka skinny, I wouldn’t even bother coming to look at their other items. My party and I came to visit after seeing so many people talk about this boutique and as much as they had some cute items in store, their non existent customer service ruined it. After a simple hello, there was an instant feeling of being un-welcome. As we continued to browse, we started to notice a lot of judgmental looks from the staff. When inquiring about the materials used for some accessories, the associate looked visibly annoyed by the simple question and when it was determined that the jewelry (which was to be a potential gift) wasn’t the style of the person, she seemed to become more irritated. It was then noticed that the staff members were actively talking about my party, clearly making fun of us and laughing as we were still in their store shopping. Even as we checked out, the associate seemed to not be rid of us fast enough. It is 2025, and honestly it is rediculous that the staff were frustrated people who weren’t a size 4 were in the store. I especially love the selection of bath and beauty products, stationery, and jewelry. And everyone who works there is so nice! Absolutely wonderful retail shop. They had so many gorgeous independent brands and a wide selection of clothing, jewelry, home goods and accessories.

The store is located in a nice area walkable you quite a lot. The employee who helped me was very friendly.
