Saturday night 8/19/23 my second time going to Dogwood the first time I was with coworkers and the second time I went with Family we thought it would be a good idea after celebrating a birthday for a family member. Bad idea. We understood the dress code and didn't argue that okay we can't get in because someone was wearing a white T-shirt. The bouncer at the door made it his point to keep coming explaining why he couldn't let us in we kept saying fine we stood there pondering our next move what bar would be okay with white t shirts. As we started to walk off he let's in someone in wearing a white T-shirt now yes I am Black but I don't and our family don't pull the race card but the man he let in was of a different race(white). So someone in our group asked what was that about he became very defensive saying I was nice to you people and cursed out the lady that was talking to him. Her brother immediately said you don't half to talk to my sister that way and yes you were respectful to me but that's not cool though the bouncer than put his hands in a fist bent his knees and started charging him saying well what you want to do. At that moment we all felt disgusted like why are you trying to fight no one came at you that way and here comes the police. I immediately told them so y'all see a group of black people a white man maybe Mexican I couldn't tell starts jumping around to fight and automatically we are the problem. I am disappointed that today we still face racial profiling. Luckily the police saw that we were not trying to fight and walked away or this could have seriously went wrong. I think Dogwood should be a little careful about how they treat people and who they have working at their establishment. Yes it's people in the world that can mess things up for White's,Blacks and Mexicans in which you automatically put your guards up however that doesn't mean to pass judgement and assume that we are here to start trouble. When I went to Dogwood the first time I was with a Mexican Man and a Puerto Rican lady and received no backlash no problem. The minute with my own my family. Now everything is a problem. Yes he racial profiled us and when busted he disrespected us in front of the police hoping that we would get out of character and the minute the police saw who was the agressor they said nothing but we all know if it was the other way around we would of all probably been put in handcuffs. My Black people be aware that we are not wanted at the Domain spend your money and party elsewhere a place that we are treated equal and not a place that immediately assumes we are out to start trouble. Ignorance is bliss so I hope this message helps so that no one else half to experience what we went through or...
Read moreThis was supposed to be a good experience for a new resident coming to texas. We walked in and went to the bar to order a drink. The manager Michelle was very prejudice and racist. I was already reluctant to get a drink from her because she looked like she hated her job or didn't want to serve us. We went to the bar to get a drink (3 tequila and cranberry) after paying $22.75 we tasted the drinks and asked Michelle what liquor was used she proceeded to show a bottle and put it down and said "oh well take it or leave it thats the way it is" we decided to leave it (the drink was HORRIBLE very watered down!!!!) and ask for refund. She agreed and took the drink very aggressively and gave my money back as well as saying "you need to leave now". She was very unprofessional and decided to cause a scene on Christmas and keep antagonizing us after we moved to another side of the bar to maybe try again with a different bartender. She continued to have different employees confront us to make us leave. We did nothing wrong to not be served effectively. The other employees decided to try and remove us physically (3 women)! When advised to not touch me and told them to call the police , they decided to send a BLACK employee to level with us about leaving because calling the police wouldn't work in our favor due to all the manager would advise the police that we were trespassing and it would end up being our fault for how michelle acted and treated 3 women who just wanted to bring in a birthday and Christmas. The employee advised that we could be charged with trespassing, WHICH WE WEREN'T! ALL in All Michelle is the worst and I will never spend any money in this establishment again. Merry...
Read moreWent to Dogwood Saturday night(02/11/17) to watch the GS Warriors/OKC Thunder game with some friends. Door guys were cool and told us to enjoy ourselves. Watched the game upstairs in the "TV room" and were attended to by a waitress soon after sitting. She said she would be right back but never came back. After about 5 mins another waitress came and asked had we been helped, told her no. She took our drink order(waters) and came back a short time after. We ordered our food (burger sliders) and waited almost 30 mins for our food. I kept trying to look at the drink menu and if I wasn't attentive to it or the food menu, she would pick it up and place it back in the table tray in passing. I understand Saturdays are pretty busy, but a simple "hey the kitchen is slow" head's up or something would have sufficed, but we didn't even get checked up on while waiting. Luckily the game was interesting to help with the wait. Finally our food came, and she asked if everything was ok. We said yeah, and enjoyed our time. We had to wait another 20 mins to get a refill on our water, and if we wanted to order anything else, we couldn't. She was ready to give us our tabs 2 minutes after finishing our food. My friends paid cash and I used my debit card. She spent more time at our table waiting for us to pay our bill than servicing us, because "people always pick up the tab books at tables they aren't working at". Finally we pay and leave and continue to Kung Fu. 3 days later (02/14/17) I check my account to find out I've been charged an extra $5. Yeah it's $5 but it's my $5. I didn't leave a tip because the service was poor. So instead you steal it from me. Smh...definitely won't be going back...
