Long John Silver's | A&W — Restaurant in Austin

So I just went to this LJS because I had a craving for their. Fish...albeit it was 9:50 when I got there and they closed at 10 but that is still 10 min of actually being open to seeve a customer if they came through. Well, my dear good people. That isn't what happened. Instead of being served during their posted operation hours, I was told that they were closed and when I pointed out that they didn't technically close til 10 the rude dude inside actually yelled at me, saying "I said we were closed. We're not taking any orders!" Well, ok. Now I'm actually in the service industry and work as a barber in a pretty elite Barbershop in SW Austin and I would never consider turning a potential customer away. I wouldn't care if it was a min before closing. If you're there before the actual closing time I'm going g to serve you. I really don't know what has happened to the service industry. But maybe this is why a lot of places are becoming extinct. When I was grieing up you could find a LJS in just about every neighborhood and now I only know of this one. It's sad really that the youth of today care about nothing but themselves and have seem to have lost all empathy. Anyways, I don't think I will be returning to this establishment again. I'll go to Popeyes right down the road where they WILL serve you at 9:57 pm and do it with a smile and as far as I'm concerned LJS can just go ahead and go out of...

Great Customer Service

I drove over here during my lunch at work as I had a BOGO coupon. I have not been to a Long John Silver's for a few years and this visit did not disappoint.

Even though I waited at the counter for a few minutes before I was noticed, I left a happy customer. The food was made fresh and fast and the Customer service was pretty dang good.

Given the long week I had, I absent mindedly left my phone at the condiment area but the nice employee came out to the car, while I was frantically searching, and asked me if I the cell phone she had in her hand was mine. Thank you for your honesty!

The food was pretty good - it is a fast food restaurant after all. I had ordered the 2 peice fish meal with corn and green beans. I love that I could change my sides at no extra charge and replace the french fries with something else that I would rather eat.

I grew up eating this A LOT, & every time my family and I have eaten here, it’s taken me right back to my childhood memories. The food was always hot and fresh, we always got our food in a timely manner (especially for the extremely big meal we would order to feed 8 of us) I personally have never had a problem with my order as far as missing anything or anything being under/over cooked, and now being that we’d eat here at least 2/3 times a month, I was EXTREMELY disappointed the day my husband went for a lunch run and instead of returning for lunch, I receive a phone call saying “Uhmm Babe it’s CLOSED, & not like for the day closed, it’s closed down” 😳😱🤯 OMG I about cried no lie.!! Someone please let me & I’m sure many others who are all wondering/asking the exact same, know if this is temporary or is this something that’s for good.?
