Stopped here directly off our flight from North Carolina. Incredibly glad we did. Completely forgot to take pictures but you can take my word for our experience.
Was greeted promptly even though it wasn’t busy and was a cold, rainy evening, around 7:30 PM. Ordered the chicken Shawarma platter, and the chicken kebab lunch platter with a side of stuffed grape leaves.
Shawarma platter was huge. Shawarma came over a bed of wonderfully seasoned rice, a side of baba ghanoush, a side of hummus, a side salad, and pita bread. All fresh and so flavorful. The chicken kabob lunch platter came with rice, salad, pickles, radishes… it was amazing. I really can’t emphasize how fresh and delicious our first meal in Austin was.
If ever back we will 100% return to Rayan...
Read moreI ordered takeout from Rayan tonight and it was absolutely delicious! I got the chicken kabob combo. The chicken and the baba ghonoush were soooo good. It's been a long time since i've had chicken this juicy - not at all dry and just perfectly grilled and full of flavor. I ordered a side of the garlic sauce (unfortunately it doesn't come with it) and they came in really small containers so you don't get much but you have to try the 2 together. I also got a side of hot sauce (also extra) which the three together were amazing. That's honestly my biggest feedback is that you need the sauce to complete the meal and the garlic sauce containers should be at least the size of the hot sauce one. Don't miss out on this place. Absolutely a gem of...
Read moreCame here based on the reviews. Got the lunch plate chicken kebab. Chicken was good. Rice was bland. The pita was cold, thin, and tasteless. I assume the pita was some mass produced generic product. The salad that came with the plate looked good but I was not a fan of the dressing. The salad had lots of large veggie pieces which was nice to see. The inclusion of hamburger slice pickles was weird. They were like best maid hamburger slice pickles. None of the plate came with any sauce which it desperately needed. They do sell sauces, albeit separately (not expensive but $0.50 per sauce.
Ultimately for $22, my experience was terrible and would not recommend this...
