Taqueria La Esperanza — Restaurant in Austin

This place has the best burritos in Austin, hands down. My favorite is the carnitas and the chicken. When I get the chicken burrito I order it Ranchera which means he sautés up some onions and jalapenos to go in it, then I top it off with his jalapeno sauce, which adds the final special touch. It's so yummy and so spicy.

I hope he's doing alright through this pandemic as his hours cater to the late night bar crowd, which is nonexistent these days. I had a stroll down memory lane just by visiting the location. I spent 31.00 on a beef fajitas gordita that's WAS NOT FAJITA MEAT. IT'S DEFINITELY LIKE A BEEF STEW MEAT! VERY DISAPPOINTING! Beyond the warning reviews, I still tried. Well another carnival gordita and 2 barbacoa tacos. Tacos were good and drinks were just a little cold. I felt insulted that they sold me a beef fajitas gordita with beef stew instead and then said they had no tomatoes. Location is about the only good thing to say....

First they get my order wrong twice I asked for beff fajita gordita, and they give me carnitas. Then I tell him and he's like oh sorry, and then he gives me a barbacoa gordita when it should if been beef fajita gordita. I didn't even eat it, but I did tell them that they messed up again. Horrible customer service. Fanta orange soda no gas at all. Worst taco stand in Austin. Very disappointed. If I could I would give a -5...
