Loved the atmosphere of the place but they def need better customer service skills. We arrived at 8 (opening) and the said she wasn’t ready yet and it would be a few minutes, we understood and we waited over 40 min for the food because she began tending to other customers’ orders first. We finally got our food and the Crossiant was burnt and she said she would remake it but that would take god knows how long. She also claimed she did not have any cash for change so those who are giving her cash and needing change, are going without. I would never recommend this place to anyone and especially if you’re on a time limit. You’re better off making your off your own coffee and food.

Starving after a medical appointment and ducked into the Hideout for nourishment and respite. Had THE BEST HAM/GRILLED SWISS SANDWICH WITH HONEY. The ham had no slivers of fat. All succulent ham. And a chaser of fresh lemonade. The staff is sweeter than Texas tea. Jazzy relaxing Christmas instrumental music accented dangling lights . A totally peaceful vibe. If you are at Aloft Downtown, exit front door. Hang a left 1 minute away on Congress. Pass 7-11 and a few steps away on left, The Hideout. My new hang out. A variety of sandwiches/drinks/coffee. Sit on a stool and watch Austinites and visitors walk by. Or grab a cozy table and forget the rat race.

Always a friendly place on this lovely street, Congress Avenue. This busy coffee spot is def a place to hideout and also has a theatre. I’ve been here countless times to study, have a quick coffee, stare at all the business Men (haha), and have a quick snack. Their coffee is reliably always the strongest when I want a great coffee. They tend to rotate their coffee, as well, but they always have a dark option. But pictured here is a different coffee out of my curiosity: their Honey Lavendar Latte. I saw it a while back and had to ask them to make it this time around. This coffee place is one of my top 3 places for good coffee in Austin.

Will never ever visit this coffee shop ever and let everyone I know how hideous the employees are at this place. I was not a customer here but a mother. A mother that was picking her child after work on a busy Saturday night dt. My daughter works across the alley from this business. And I normally park in the street near her establishment but as the moto gp was going on it was rather busy and didn't want to bother anyone. I'll just go in the alleyway to be out of the way, this where her employee entrance is anyway, when a car pulls behind me to go through. So I'm thinking its gonna be insane pulling through the alley I'll just partially pull into this parking spot and let them go. Soon after several people came through the alley so I just decided I'll stay here a moment just til she comes out. I soon get a knock on my window from a caucasian adult Male wearing a plaid shirt and a green beanie with reddish/blonde hair and he starts with this is private parking. Which I knew, I in no way planned on staying or actually parking and leaving my car, I explained I was only waiting for my daughter to get off work and he said that's fine but you can't stay here, we tow. You can park in the alley. I again explained how I was parked there but people were coming through. I told me yeah well theres no one there now very rudely. Which I understand as I'm sure this is something yall go through with people quite often but I was in my mom car with my mom clothes and as nicely as I could explaining my situation and he says would you like me to call the police....wow just wow.....no thank you to this company! I wasn't some thug causing trouble, dealing drugs, drunk, peeing on anything....I wasnt even planning on staying 10 mins????? Just that you would employ such a person or even condone or allow someone to intimidate...

Super unfriendly morning staff. I've stayed at the Aloft hotel next store a couple times and wanted to try a new coffee place for a coffee and quick bite. I got there at about 7:05 (they open at 7). There was a open light on the door, but as soon as I came to the entry the woman working there told me to go outside so she could wash the walkway. She was rude about it, but no worries she could have been stressed because they were just opening. Myself and someone else went in a few minutes later. I ordered a breakfast taco and was told they don't have them. I asked what time they are available (I was thinking I might come back another day during my trip) and the woman said "well we can't help it if we don't get deliveries." Wasn't what I asked, nor was I complaining, but it seems like they really don't like customers so I...

If you're in Austin and looking for a spot that blends fantastic food with top-notch entertainment, this café is a hidden gem you don't want to miss. With a wonderful selection of dishes, from amazing sandwiches to delicious and beautiful cupcakes, every bite feels like a treat. The Matcha is perfectly balanced, offering just the right amount of sweetness even though pre-sweetened—something many other places fail to achieve.

But what really sets this café apart is its vibe. The front is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax or work, while the back is where the magic happens. The café hosts incredible comedy shows that elevate your evening. I recently caught a film noir improv show, and it was hands down the best thing I've...
