Doggi's Arepa Bar — Restaurant in Aventura

I ordered a mora juice, arepa mexicana, and tequeños. The tequeños were good. The juice does not taste the same here as it does in the other locations. And the arepa was the worst. The guacamole was not seasoned with lime or salt. And the meat was undercooked. There was a piece that looked RAW. When i showed the arepa to a worker, he immediately became defensive and told me that all the meat is medium by default and if i wanted it well done, i could have asked the cashier. The thing is that this piece of meat was obviously not medium and he was just trying to dismiss me. Two other workers came and tried to offer me other items but i didn't want any more food from there and i was already feeling pretty intimidated by the first worker. I left without a refund. The meal in total was almost $30 and totally not worth it. It's unfortunate because this place is new here and I love the other locations of this restaurant. But this experience just left a bad taste...

If you don’t speak Spanish, you may have an issue ordering from here. After placing my food order, I asked if they had bottled water (twice because she didn’t understand the first time), I was told no. As I was waiting for my food, which took a long time, I saw several people get handed bottled water with their meals from behind the counter. I got the chicken empanada and the chicken and cheese arepa. I found the corn breading of the empanada to be very good, but the chicken inside was very dry and difficult to eat. The arepa was similar, except I found the arepa to be mostly flavorless and the cheese was the only thing that saved it from being a complete loss as they must’ve used the same chicken as the empanada. I was thoroughly disappointed and probably would not return. Also, it was pretty expensive, the two food items and a can of Coke ended up...

THEIFS. We ordered pick up from them in aventura by mistake, thinking it was the other location. We canceled on uber 1 second later and were charged the whole amount anyways. We contacted Uber and they said the funds went straight to doggies so we should call them to get the order there. We called and they had said they already made the order so we decided to drive up to aventura. Then we got a call back that they didn’t make the order and would not give us the order because it was canceled even though they received the money for the order. Spoke with a manager and he made no effort to help us. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. He could have at least given us the meal when we were already on our way there after they told us they had made it. Especially since they already got paid...
