I haven’t experienced a restaurant/cafe like this in a long time. First here is what we ordered. We started out with a beef empanada, 3 cheese and the Rockford, a spinach pie and a parrilla. The empanadas were OK, nothing great and some did not taste fresh. I do understand that they are sitting in a warmer but there should be a time they are discarded or Maybe sold as a not fresh empanada. I then decided to order a spinach and cheese cannelloni, and ordered another empanada asking for the fresher one which was ham and cheese. It was a weird consistency inside. Ground up ham and cheese. Wouldn’t order it again.
About 45 min, with us waiting and becoming impatient and hearing the kitchen staff ring the bell 3 times. we received the cannelloni. When delivered we asked for some plates as we were sharing. Never got the plates. And we asked the gentleman who delivered to check on the parrillada. The cannelloni is in no form a traditional cannelloni. Basically an Alfredo sauce topped with a bunch of cheese.
After finishing the cannelloni I went to the counter to check on the parrillada. There were 2 on the counter. I asked them if we could have ours and they had some confusion about one being to-go. Not sure which is more important but I had asked for the manager to step in and help since clearly no one could figure it out. I had to ask twice for it and told the guy we ordered it with sweet potato fries. We ordered the parillada medium rare. The flap meat was fine, blood sausage and normal sausage also ok. The short rib was cut extremely thin, something we have never seen before and crispy, small intestine was not crunchy. Although I do not enjoy it that is how I am told it should be. I don’t think it would come medium rare. But the worst part were the beef sweat breads, which were a ball of fat. I have never experienced this before and neither has my mother who is Argentinian. That was the last straw and asked for the manage to come over to the table which we explained our concern about the sweat breads. She said that sometimes it comes with fat, was the initial response. She offered to get some remade, but we asked if they would come out the same way and she said maybe. That’s when I had asked her if she eats sweet breads which she responded no.
I told her that she probably shouldn’t comment on what food is supposed to be when you don’t know and began to explain to her how it’s a gland. I feel it’s embarrassing for a place that also claims they are a butcher, to serve fat as their sweet breads.
She did offer us dessert, and at that time we still had not received the sweet potato fries so she went to go get them at and said they were making them fresh.
All in all I would not return. Attached are some...
Read moreI've been a customer of this location from day one, in 2019, and loved the other ones forever. The service and food quality was bad at the beginning but it improved and became as consistent as the other locations I usually visit, especially Coral Gables an Weston. However, in the last 5-6 months things went south. The good managers are gone, the wait staff is terrible and lost, and the food is getting worst and worst. It's not only me: Whoever is a regular like me can confirm that. We used to have breakfast a couple of times a week, and lunch almost every day, and the good thing was that being regulars and big spenders (our check for lunch, especially on Fridays was never less than $400) was that the managers were on top of everything and making sure our table was ok. Another bigger table also left to their previous lunch spot (another few thousands less) just because "this is a market and you have to make a slow line every time you need to order something"... Well,. this is Aventura and taking care of some good clients that used to leave thousands every months made the difference.Besides the lack of "personal touch", the service and quality inconsistency made us change our preferred lunch spot as well. Bow, I go every now and then, for instance today: I went for lunch, waited forever on line, and can confirm this place has lost it for real... The portion size was much smaller, the runner walked around with my food for over 5 minutes (food cold, of course) until he found me, and the quality was not even close to what it was in the past. Conclusion: Mr. Graziano doesn't understand that he either adapts to this area's needs, improves the terrible service for good, or he will keep losing clients, and on top of that, this place is not longer alone in Aventura Square Plaza. The fame and reputation this brand has in other locations is not enough for this one, and the numbers they see every night at close, may be confirming this. You're still have time to change the course of this Titanic,...
Read moreWe go to Grazianos in a weekly basis to buy cheese, ham, meats and other things. Time to time we order food. Food is tasty however, whoever is running this place is missing on quality control and service. It has been 4 times we order food for delivery or pick up and our order is always wrong, ALWAYS! And at this point it seems it is done on purpose just to get rid whatever they prepared and did not sell. I refuse to believe all the staff that prepares the orders are so bad at their job that they mess up the orders all the time. 3 weeks ago I went to get some pan de miga, empanadas and dessert. When I got home and tried the tres leches realized it was spoiled. I called to complained and the answer was bring it back and we give you a refund. To be honest, doing the trip back was not worth it and I let it go. 2 weeks ago bought empanadas on site and brought them home, to realize the person that helped me, (an unfocused lady that was more attentive to a conversation her colleagues were having rather than paying attention to my food order) ended up giving me the wrong empanadas. Last night was the cherry on the top of the sundae! I order a ham and cheese tart, did the trip to pick it up , just to learnt when I got back home that the tart was not the one that I ordered. I was going to a party and was supposed to bring something that was kids friendly, instead I had a tart full of onion, red sauce and olives. After speaking with the manager she said they would deliver some ham and cheese empanadas to the place were we had the get together, and they did, however as much as I appreciate the gesture , the incident already ruined my night because AGAIN I did not get what I ordered. Management needs to seriously do something about this, staff must be trained and must know the products they sell. When people buy something wants to get what they bought not...
