I’ve eaten at Sancho’s Tacos a few times over the years and I recently ate there this past Friday (4/26/24). I love their tacos for a few reasons. The first is the quality of the ingredients. Followed by the good size of the tacos, as these are not the tiny street tacos you might get elsewhere. The sauces they use on their tacos is perhaps my favorite part of the tacos. I get no dry tacos here. Currently the tacos are priced around $4.50.

This past Friday I took my girlfriend who had never been there before. I ordered the OG, the Federale, and the Yard Bird. My Girlfriend ordered the OG and the Flaco Taco. She loved the tacos. She is not a big meat eater, and about half way through the Flaco Taco (which has no meat), she looked up and said “this might be the best taco I’ve ever eaten” then after a short pause said “No, this is the best taco I’ve ever had.”

On this visit I did have one of my tacos almost fall apart while eating it, which I wouldn’t care about, but I did see my girlfriends OG taco give her some trouble as the tortilla started to fall apart. I’m not criticizing this, but just pointing this out in case you are the type that gets frustrated with tacos that may fall apart.

I have always loved the vibe of this place although seating is very limited both inside and out. I believe there are 4 tables inside, 3 that seats 4 people and 1 table that seats 2 people. Outside I believe are 3 or 4 tables that maybe seat 2 or 3 people (I didn’t pay too much attention this past visit.) Also, I believe you may be able to sit at the Silver Fox Bar which is on the other side of the connected building, and order from Sanchos Tacos. They even have a window that allows you to look into the bar and from the bar to Sanchos Tacos.

Parking always seems a little sparse so expect to cross a street or walk a block or so if you don’t find parking very close. But this isn’t too bad at all.

Overall I love this place and recommend the tacos. Although I’ve never had any of their...

This is an interesting spot. It's very small, but has an intimate atmosphere. Let's start off with the food. It depends on what you get; some of the items you get come with a lot of food and are fairly priced. Other items, like the tacos, while delicious, are extremely overpriced. Most places charge anywhere from $2 to $2.50 for tacos normally, and on Taco Tuesday they drop. We went on Taco Tuesday and the tacos were $2.50 (or $2.75; can't remember). We don't remember the normal price, but it was somewhere in the $4 range if we remember correctly. While they are delicious, they aren't anything special enough to be that expensive.

The staff messed up multiple orders while we were there, but they were very apologetic and did everything they could to fix the issue with a vert kind attitude, so that stood out as incredible to us. The staff were vert kind and helpful.

The atmosphere is dark and quiet, which is very relaxing. The decor is very unique as well. It's obvious they took a lot of time and effort to decorate that place. Overall, with the exception of the extremely overpriced tacos, the restaurant was a...

BLUF: One of the best experiences at any kind of restaurant period.

The long story: 5 minute walk from Amtrak as I had a layover. Ordered on the phone in case it was busy. The girl on the phone was highly professional and helped me chose the best meal based on what I was looking for.

At the restaurant the style and atmosphere was fantastic. Friendly and a cool tattoo shop vibe. My food was ready and delicious, the carnitas were out of this world tender. Every single worker that I interacted with, cashier, cook, guy outside; they all seemed like they were happy to be there and kind.

I have no problem pointing out small flaws with a place but this was a rare occurrence where I could not have changed a single thing to make it better outside of putting the restaurant inside a Japanese tea garden or something.

One of the best casual quick spots I've ever been to and I've been across 6/7 continents (don't know the food scene in Antarctica). Will 100% go back...
