Jason's NY Pizza - Hammond St — Restaurant in Bangor

I've gone here so many times I've lost track. It has become my favorite place to grab lunch. It makes basically any day a lot better. They make it super easy to order online and customize it however you want. They have really good basil by the way. Depending on my mood I usually get either the Italian meatball sub on whole wheat with some olive oil, or the taco pizza, or a custom built pizza. But everything I've had there is excellent. They seem to use very good ingredients so you aren't left feeling greasy but instead very full and happy. They are also extremely polite. It drives my coworkers nuts as it smells really good. I noticed some reviews complain about wait time? I've not had this issue but I order usually 20 or so minutes before I take my lunch break and so by the time I get there it's ready and still hot. Was 2 stars, changed it to 1 because still no response... not caring about what your customers say is not a good business trait. Always loved getting the lasagna and salad to go from Jason’s...no longer the case. The portion of lasagna was about half the size as what I usually get and they forgot the salad completely. On top of that, only one set of utensils for two orders of food. I ran a really great restaurant not too far from Jason’s and all of my takeout orders were checked no less than three times before it went out the door. The person taking the order, the person preparing the order, and the person handing the order to the customer. Sometimes this might all be done by the same person but it was checked three times nonetheless. Not sure what happened with the portion amount but what I paid for is not what I received. Bangor Location:

-All Meat Pizza was average. Good spread of toppings.

-Plain chicken wings were good, but definitely needs to be crisped up as other reviews mentioned.

-Ordered sweet heat wings; got the sweet, but definitely no heat to them at all.

Customer service was excellent! Ordered the pepperoni, onion, cheese calzone and for some reason ended up with a ham, pepperoni, onion stromboli. Person who appeared to be the manager was very apologetic. They were very busy in there so I waited patiently inside and he proceeded to take my food back and keep it heated as the calzone was being made. Not only did he offer to let us keep the stromboli, but he also took the calzone off the bill for the mistake before I left!

-Both calzone and stromboli were very good, but use less ricotta cheese when prepping as it was too much.
