TLDR Fantastic customer service, great food, and good prices.
We recently visited the new Jason’s Pizza location on Stillwater after attempting to order online. There was an issue with the order, as it charged my credit card, but a pop-up said that the order couldn’t be processed. I went in to see if they received the order, but they hadn’t. They explained that they were having issues with the online system due to power outages, but they assured me that the card would be refunded. Sure enough, within a day, it was refunded. I placed my order again in person and paid right there. While I waited, I asked about purchasing individual slices. They sell them individually, but they gave my SO a slice on the house for the inconvenience.
They rushed the order for me. While I waited in the lobby, I observed an interaction between another customer with an issue and the front end worker. I don’t recall the worker’s name, but he was awesome – friendly, quick with service, and professional. The other customer wanted two flavors of wings, but received one. The worker explained ordering multiple half pound orders with different flavors, instead of ordering one pound, due to the limitations of the website. However, he offered no less than three ways to make it up to the customer including a partial refund, remaking it, or giving the customer the sauce flavors that he didn’t receive. No fighting, no anger, no defensiveness on the part of anyone. A simple misunderstanding and great customer service.
SUB: The sub was good, and I’d say one of the best subs in the area (Leave It to Us sub, modified). It wasn’t as big as a foot long, or a giant “sub above,” but it had a ton of meat and toppings on it. It was approximately eleven dollars, but I’d rather have all the fillings than fill up on bread. It was toasted, the bacon was crispy, and it was delicious.
FRIES: The sweet heat fries were almost candied with the sweet heat topping, and they were amazing. Not a lot of kick, just enough to add flavor. They also gave us a lot of dipping cups without being asked, unlike chain stores. They sat in the takeout box for a bit, so they got somewhat soggy, but they were still good (I like soft/soggy fries). Enjoy them fresh for the best experience.
WHOOPIE PIE: The whoopie pie definitely had potential. I tasted good, there was a good amount of filling, and all the proportions seemed right. However, the cake/cookie (who actually knows what it is) parts were dry and getting crumbly. I assume that they had been sitting on the counter for a little while, as a normal whoopie pie would not be like that. I think it would be great if it was fresh, and it got the job done.
PIZZA: It’s the best New York style you’ll ever find in these parts. It’s certainly thin crust, but it’s not a cracker like the popular green and orange pizzeria in Orono. It’s real dough. It’s different. It’s not from around here. The pizza tastes good, but it isn’t completely filling. For personal binge-eating enjoyment in your dwelling, I’d recommend getting additional toppings or adding cheese. However, a stock slice on the go or at an event will hit the spot.
Overall, we are pleased with our experience at Jason’s. While they’re human and mistakes happen, they go good for it. The food is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and we’ll certainly be coming back. Keep up the great work!

Read moreMy family eats Jason’s Pizza at least once a month. This is our favorite pizza place in the area. The past two times I have been to this location I have had issues. The first time I requested a half cheese/half deluxe pizza and was given 5 slices of cheese and 3 slices of deluxe. No big deal. I filled out their survey and let them know and the owner reached out and was very friendly. Tonight we came back for two pizzas for our family. Both pizzas were perfect. No complaints at all. However, they say that they offer curbside but that has not been the case the past few times I’ve come. I wasn’t bothered by it in the past, but today they serviced 5-6 people who showed up after we checked in via the app. We waited for 25 minutes. I assumed that the pizza wasn’t ready. My husband ended up going in (15 minutes after our requested pickup time- we had arrived 10 minutes early) and the pizzas had been ready the whole time. The (super nice) person at the front apologized and said they were just really busy tonight. Please don’t offer a service that you don’t actually provide. TLDR: Pizza is great. Curbside is not. Just go inside to pick...
Read moreThis was my first visit to the Stillwater location as I live less than a mile from the Hammond Street location. My teenage daughter and her friend are obsessed with the chicken bacon ranch pizza, and it's only from Jason's that they want it. Hammond Street being closed on Sunday, we made the drive up to Stillwater. I love the hot honey pepperoni concoction. But really, I think most anything at Jason's is really great. When I walked into the Stillwater location it was very clean, the employees were busy, doing side work or prepping orders, nobody was on their phones, or disengaged, I was greeted and told that they would be right with me and they were.
The gentleman that came in just before me, they knew who he was by name and what he ordered and that he needed an extra side of marinara, before he even spoke and they grabbed it from the warmer right away, which I thought was really great-clearly the know their customers.
My order was ready when they said it would be. It was hot when we got there, and it was really good- cooked beautifully. We also love the Stephen King shout outs...
