Place is sketchy. I placed a $75 delivery order using my McAlister's account (and nothing else). Most restaurant websites will show some indication of a 3rd party delivery service, either through a link or a statement during the payment process. In my particular situation, this restaurant used DoorDash. There's no indication of "DoorDash" on the website or the receipt, and had I known I would've moved on to something else. I found out through a DoorDash delivery ETA text message...and guess what, the food never showed up! From my balcony, I watched the driver speed off in his car with my food in his passenger seat! We even locked eyes! (My wife: Who's out there driving like that?! Me: "DoorDash...") I called McAlister's, told them all about the situation and asked for a refund (because at that point I didn't want their food). They told me I have to call DoorDash for the refund. To sum it up, I told them "I didnt request DoorDash services, YOU did, and I wouldn't know where to start because you have all the DoorDash info!" The lady on the phone hangs up in my face. I called again, and this time the guy from Allstate Insurance answers (he had a deep voice). It was the manager. He tells me that I basically did everything through DoorDash and they didn't have anything to do with it.....and then he hangs up in my face. So somehow, all of my McAlister's contact and credit card info is handled by a 3rd party entity called "DoorDash" who also handles refunds. Finally, I found a DoorDash Customer Service phone number. The representative who helped me was extremely nice and apologized about the situation. Though she couldn't do much (and there was a farm of chickens clucking in the background), she was still very patient and didn't treat the situation like it was my fault. She was also confused on why I was calling DoorDash about the refund. She ended up calling the same McAlister's manager to tell him to give me a refund. Did it get done????!!!! I don't even know! Now I have to...
Read moreUPDATE!!! Gave McAlister's a long break! Went today for a strawberry and peach lemonade without ice. Easy? Not so! Cashier 2; young woman with green frames and very long pink hair took my ordered and repeated it back correctly. Before making my drink she scratched her face, and raked her hair several times! Afterwards, she had the audacity to pick up my cup with her unwashed hands by the rim and proceeded to fulfill my order. I quietly stopped her and asked if she could wash her hands or put on some gloves because she had raked her hair, face and clothes a bit too much. She replied OH SORRY and completed the order without correcting any of the problems I voiced. She also made the drink wrong! I gave it back and she made a correct drink very sloppily as she used the opposite hand that I hope was cleaner with a lot of difficulty. Had she washed her hands everything could have been easier on us both, my sanity and her unsanitary handling of food items would have been remedied. She should not work in food services with hair all over her clothes, constantly rubbing oil and hair from her face, clothes, and combing through it to move it out of the way with her hands. Very UNSANITARY. I'm done, I may sound picky or petty to some but personal hygiene should be at the highest level in the food service world! The cook....Awesome!!! Hands gloved, hair tied back and etc. I saw him touch something with his gloved hands and immediately removed the gloves for a new set prior to going back to prepping food!!! Whether in the kitchen or on the front desk, cleanliness should not be taken for granted. CLEAN IT UP BARTLETT LOCATION!
Cashier 2 @ 4:49 pm was rude. I got a lemonade with added peach snd strawberry and she didn't fill my cup. It's over an inch or more from full. Didn't say thank you. I stood 3 to 4 Minutes before she even turned around to acknowledge me prior to taking my order. Only 1 couple is inside dining and no one else was in...
Read moreI just had the worst customer experience ever! I placed an order on line for about $40 bucks. When my wife picked it up, half the order was incorrect and the other half was missing. She then called back to inform them the order was incorrect! She was given nothing but attitude even though the order was outlined to a “T” since it was done on line. She then had to wait for them to make the rest of the order and correct it. They bring the food back a second time and it’s still incorrect. Being the person she is, she just left with it and didn’t worry about the trouble. I’m not that person. I took the order back and asked to speak with a manager. Here’s where it gets even worse.
After standing at the door for 10 mins and being ignored (while being stared at). A young lady comes to the door with an attitude off the bat. I inform her that my order is completely wrong and at this point I want a refund. She explained that she couldn’t because it was placed online. Cool, I get that. But here’s the problem. I need confirmation that it will happen especially since I brought the food back. She continues to be rude when I asked for her name so I can say she gave me that info, I was told I can call the store and get that info as well. Until this point I’ve been calm and civil but the attitude and the eye rolling was uncalled for. I ask her why she has an attitude with a paying customer because currently we have 22 million people out of work due to the current pandemic. She then throws her hands up, walks inside and locks the door with the incorrect food I paid for in hand. So here I am out $40 and still have no food. Plus no way to prove that I didn’t get correct food so it’s my word against the angry cashier who doesn’t know how fortunate she is to be getting a paycheck. You should probably check into some of your franchisee stores McAlister’s they’re really...
