Street Tacos of 512 — Restaurant in Bastrop

My goodness.. I got one order of quesabirria tacos (3 tacos) & 3 "al pastor" tacos. 6 tacos for $28, ridiculous. I could eat 5 tacos, 5 times in Houston and still have a few bucks left over AND those tacos would taste better! Let's start: Quesabirria tacos aren't made out of goat meat, which birria tacos are originally made out of, but at least she stated that they're made out of beef when I asked. Al Pastor tacos aren't actually al pastor but it's just cubed pork. Not even redish in color which it usually has.

Not going to lie, the tacos taste good, but not good enough to cost $28. At least they're made out of 2 regular sized tortillas...

One of my coworkers suggested this tacos place. The menu had a great selection of items beyond just tacos. Both of us ordered the tacos (obviously) and we're very pleased.

The meat quality was very good and it was perfectly cooked. The flavors were on point and the spices were very balanced unlike other places that kill the meat with a ton of salt and other cheap seasonings.

Absolutely delicious! We got the birria tacos and a beef fajita burrito and both were scrumptious. From the salsas to the consomé to the main dishes—everything was SO flavorful. Very fair prices and amazing service, the woman who took our order and brought out the food was lovely. I was very hangry when I arrived and I left completely satisfied....
