Golden Tusk Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Battle Ground

Golden Tusk was a great experience. Being part Thai myself, I usually don't got to Thai restaurants because it's usually overpriced and very little portions. I can probably cook it better at home.

With Golden Tusk I went right before the dinner rush. The location is in a small town in battleground. You can tell that this place catered towards the non authentic type. What more can you ask for being in battleground. They need to make a living too.

My food experience was 3.5 star not because it was bad or didn't taste good but I enjoy the more authentic rich flavors that they could offer but don't offer due to those who do not like strong flavors.

I talk to the waitress and they could definitely live up to this because she said when I come in next time, I can ask them to make it more authentic.

More authentic thai food would be things like adding more shrimp past in papaya or having the pad tai meat and noodles be more seared and less gooey.

The wait staff was awesome as they came by my table to check in as well as fill up my water consistently.

I would definitely go there if I'm in town again.

This is probably THE best Thai restaurant in the local area. Anyone giving bad reviews does not know Thai food enough to understand how amazing this place really is.

Their new online ordering system is awesome as well. They offer you choices based upon dietary needs or allergies. I recommend their house-made brown rice. It's a combo of brown and black wild rice. You won't find this at a store.

The staff are always so friendly and helpful as well. The ease of ordering online and being able to make specific choices, additions, or substitutions is the best part of their online ordering service.

They are quick, prompt and if they don't have something or need clarification, the staff will reach out and call you immediately after placing your order to make sure they get things to your satisfaction.

My friend & I have met for lunch on Sundays at the Golden Tusk several times & have been happy with the food & service in the past. However, our recent experience was not that impressive. We got there when the restaurant opened. The waitress gave us menus & returned very shortly to take our order. She chastised us for not having our order ready, telling us the next time we come in, we should decide what we want before we sit down so she didn’t need to interrupt us. Then, our food came. I ordered #34 minus the egg, with tofu. The noodles were a sticky congealed salty mess. We asked for our bill, brought to us by a different waitress. We asked her to split it, with my friend paying her half with a credit card, me paying cash. She came back, charging my friend for the entire bill, plus giving me some change from my $20.
