I am sharing my experience as a warning to others - especially about that last week of rent.
Despite it being a flaw in their system, I had owed the last bit of rent from my college program program and was not notified when my lease ended (yes, during the working months, you are responsible for rent - but, if I remember properly on the lease, they are supposed to contact you immediately if you owe any amount of balance).
I will take fault for failure to respond when they attempted to contact me months later (despite the two voicemails they left never mentioning a debt, only a confirmation), as I had thought wholeheartedly that I had paid my rent since I didnāt receive my last paycheck and they were harassing my roommates as well (who were being sent on a wild goose chase by Flamingo and even told that they didnāt owe anything and to not pay or respond yet by Disney programs), but when I contacted them regarding a debt collections letter - I was met with wholly unprofessional, hostile behavior despite me simply getting confirmation of the debt and asking questions fully willing to pay what I owed. I even called Disney Programs, who then connected me to a manager because the workers gave me misinformation, who, despite being much more informative and pleasant, told me even more misinformation that I could still pay to Flamingo and not the debt collections agency as the charge was still present on my account. I am a college student; Iāve never owed a debt, Iāve never dealt with debt before, I have no idea how collections work, and my intentions to pay were always sincere. The experience couldāve been much less stressful and smooth if I wasnāt met with such hostile workers - and given accurate information.
Now, this situation isnāt entirely on Flamingo, but, if you can stay with a family member or someone you trust outside of Flamingo during your DCP - save your money (as they take a hefty chunk from your paycheck) and do it. The majority of the workers on (and off site apparently) are not helpful anyways.
I have forwarded this complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well. Train your workers better Flamingo, and try to actually communicate with residents instead of playing vague when regarding...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience at Flamingo Crossings West was one of the worst housing situations Iāve ever dealt with. When I first moved into my assigned unit (H31 ā APT 105), both my mother and I became sick shortly after spending time there. After being relocated to another unit, my health improved, but when I was moved back, my symptoms returned.
From the beginning, there was a strong odor of cat urine in the room. It caused headaches, nausea, and overall discomfort. I later learned the previous resident had a cat, which explains the smell. Even after management replaced the flooring, the odor remainedāespecially in the bathroom.
To make matters worse, a front desk employee entered my room without permission. This was not only inappropriate but also frightening. When I tried to show them the smell, they said they couldnāt detect anything and told me there was nothing they could do. I ended up having to spend my first night at Flamingo Crossings Village in a hotel because of how unbearable the conditions were. The following day, when I went to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager, I was told the manager on duty also couldnāt do anything. It was only after sending an email that I was finally moved to a temporary unit.
Unfortunately, once I was forced to return to my original room, the smell persisted and the bathroom continued to reek of cat urine. Eventually, the situation became so bad that my program had to end early because I could not continue living under these conditions.
This was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would not recommend living at Flamingo Crossings West, and I strongly encourage Disney to find a different company to manage their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh boy where do I begin with this review. I lived at flamingo all of 2022. From January to December. They won't do anything if you have bad roommates. I was harassed so much by my first set of roommates. I would cry to flamingo every day because i was afraid to go back to my apartment. These workers knew me by name. All they would do an intake but, tell me they were on a moving freeze and that they can't move me out just because I was uncomfortable. Around may of 2022 when they were out of the moving freeze. I had to do a mediation with my roomates. Then if the manager decides you could move into another apartment. You can for a $200 fee. I paid it and they moved me a week later to the apartment across from my old one. So whenever id leave my apartment My old one was right outside the door. That was another slap in the face because i didn't want my old roommates to know where I was. The busses are usually late and will sometimes sit at the east apartment complex for 30 minutes before they drive to west. It was very tiring after a long day of work just to sit on a bus for an extra 30 minutes when I have to work the next day. If you need anything done to your apartment (somthing breaks and you need someone to come fix it) expect a 2 week wait. The hot tubs are usually broken as well as the outdoor screens. (I can't speak for east since I lived at west). Then when December came , and I finally move out. A month later I get an email saying I need to pay them another months worth of rent when I was long moved out before then. Honestly, don't move into flamingo if you...
