Playa Bowls — Restaurant in Beach Haven

Always a wonderful experience and bowls are delish! We visit different locations, LBI and Long Branch, Ridgewood and a few others in NJ. It can be overwhelming at first looking at the menu, there are so many options. I was in the Ridgewood location a recent visit and a few high school and college athletes were wondering what to order. If you want acai, my family fav is Tropical bowl. Acai base, add vanilla protein. Skip the granola if you want to keep calories low but if you're active (athlete) you'll use them. Then topped with fruit, (skip any honey or nutella again) a great fuel source for your activities, just as the idea came from very active surfers. Antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, protein, healthy fat. My son loves the Costa bowl, banana base with vanilla protein, he does keep with the granola and nutella because he is super active. Other good ones we've tried are Pura Vida (add protein, no honey), Power Bowl and Pink Power (no honey). It's knowing how to build the bowl for your needs and...

This is the first time we have eaten here and it was awesome!! We got the classic tuna Poke and they were one of the best I have ever gotten! The Tuna was bright and fresh with a delicious soy sauce on top. The sauce was just enough to mix into the perfectly cooked brown rice and it made the rice have a nice flavor without being overpowering. The avocado was bright green and all the veggies were fresh. I will definitely come back for a Playa or other bowl and would not hesitate to recommend Playa Bowl. They also have smoothies and other yummy options. The workers were all ver nice...

I build houses on the island and just brought my wife and kids down for the summer, I was so happy to revisit the new playa bowls location. I came in around closing, which I felt bad for but the employees and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I got a coco power bowl for me, a custom acai bowl for my wife and a strawberry banana smoothie for each one of my kids. My family as a whole was happy to be back eating from our new favorite spot in beach haven. My daughter was already asking to come back again...
