I was browsing the food carts near the Beaverton Central MAX Station and was looking for a good spot for a quick lunch, as I had not eaten yet. Something about this one cart drew me in and made me unable to keep walking past it. It said something about "waffle sandwiches"?? It sounded interesting and had an extensive menu. So I was like "I have to try this!" After taking at least five minutes to figure out just what I wanted to eat with all of the choices at Batter Up, I finally settled on a sandwich with their famous "baconsausage" (raw sausage and bacon combined!), cheddar cheese, their special maple butter, and spiced apple slices all contained between two waffles. It was absolute heaven! The flavors paired perfectly. I didn't wait too long (probably 6-8 minutes), so I knew it wasn't just heated up and served. The woman working the register provided excellent service by being very relatable, which made me feel not like "just another paying customer". It made my day when the first thing she said when I walked up to order was to ask me how my day was. It was much better after that! It is definitely a must-stop destination that does both breakfast and lunch-themes sandwiches and I would absolutely suggest to anyone looking for something new to eat that is a perfect mix of weird and delicious that doesn't break the bank! Read moreWe have been to the Division location several times and always had a great experience. Today for my daughter’s special Valentine’s treat we went to the Beaverton location. We were there at about 2:30. I ordered and made sure to specify she needed it gluten-free and vegan due to allergies. The server/chef asked, “Isn’t that the same thing?” I laughed because I thought he surely must be joking, but my partner outlined the difference for him anyways. I stressed again that my daughter has allergies. Well, our order comes out and my daughter takes a bite. I’m feeling nervous and decide to test the whipped cream myself even though I am also allergic to dairy, and it does not taste like coconut. My partner took it back to the cart and found out that it was in fact NOT gluten-free and vegan. They gave us a free waffle card as if that’s supposed to make me feel better about the fact that my four year old will soon be covered in hives and likely up all night in extreme intestinal discomfort. I seriously think that employee should be fired before he kills somebody who has an...
Read moreWriting this review actually makes me really sad because when I've ordered in person, my food is always incredible.
However, I don't have a car so sometimes I order through a delivery app, and every single time it's absolutely awful. Today takes the cake though and I don't know if I'll be back because I'm THAT disappointed.
My pictures speak for themselves but every single thing on both sandwiches I got were overcooked/burned and they were just SO dry. The cheese was crusty because it had been cooked for so long. The eggs were dry from how long they sat there.
I just can't believe they would send out food this terrible and I'm so incredibly disappointed, especially considering how expensive their food is.
Had I been there in person I would have asked them to remake it because this is just not acceptable quality. I used to absolutely love this place but the fact that they clearly don't care about the quality of delivery orders makes me never...
