So, I really don't give more than three stars to a chain restaurant where everything is programmed with minimal creativity. Everyone knows what to expect. Some, basic, Mexican want-to-be type food, disguised as a taco or a burrito. A few other reinventions of the same thing, but not worth it.
So why give this particular Taco Bell an extra star or two? Well, there is a story...
Walking past, a homeless guy was seeking shelter sitting down and leaning against the wall, across the street. He asked me if I could help him out, so I decided why not, and told him I would buy him a taco if he would like it. He was very happy and followed me over to Taco Bell, and respectfully stood to one side near the door, while I order his taco.
When the counter staff handed me the takeaway bag, she nodded at the man waiting patiently by the door and gave me a smile. The bag was heavier than it should have been for a taco.
I thanked her and handed the bag over to the man, who looked inside and opened his eyes wide in happiness when he saw not one taco but several extras, added by the staff.
The man left with his quiet thanks, and when I saw him next, he was quietly sharing his meal with his girlfriend, both nestled up against a wall, on some cardboard and a blanket.
Taco Bell, Bell Gardens, California... Helping out your community and those in needs, a few tacos at a time, earned you five stars.

Read moreI went through drive thru today 6/29/2024, at 4:45pm, and had an awesome experience, instead of a bad one as in the past. There were about 9 cars ahead of me, so i almost drove away, yet I’m glad i waited, because the staff was on point, very courteous, and polite. As a former manager of one of their rivals i really appreciated the great customer service.
Then there’s the VANILLA LIMONADA FREEZE, it was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. It was so good that while the young lady was retrieving my food order, i couldn’t stop drinking it. Then when she gave me my food, i had to loudly proclaim “this is really good, i hope they don’t discontinue it.” To which she responded with a smile and a thumbs up, almost on cue.
If the staff reads this i really want to thank you for stepping up your customer service skills and for making my visit so enjoyable.

Read moreI wanted a freeze with my male and the worker didn’t hear me so I didn’t get charged for it and so I asked if I could pay the difference and he was so rude he was like no you didn’t say you wanted a freeze like I wasn’t gonna argue with him . I asked for an ice drink and he didn’t deliver and customer service should be important at a fast food restaurant and it was not busy and it wasn’t near closing time . I also went inside to use the restroom and he mistakenly gave me the wrong code . I went back and say excuse me and he ignored me . I said it when he was just standing there not taking an order whatever I will never go there because of this it’s just the simple fact that in his job description he is supposed to act like he wants the job regardless or not .
