I love the variety and quality of their baked goods - esp. their savory items (please bring back the Aussie meat pies)! If I decide to go for a sweet bakery item - I almost always get the taro marble bun - decadent, delicious and unlike other taro buns anywhere. Some constructive criticism about service - I have been here many times, and waiting in line for 10 minutes to buy your items each time is unacceptable. There are three cash registers, but almost always one cashier. I have seen employees behind the counter with their backs turned to the customer not really doing anything while there is a big line of people and one cashier. It's almost like the employees don't want to work the cash register and the person barking orders never tells the other employees to work the other cash registers. If a customer wants a slice of cake that is in the display case (which is a common occurrence), the cashier leaves the register, walks over to the display case, carefully removes the slice, carefully places it in a package, walks back to the register, and finishes ringing up the purchase - which needlessly extends an already long wait. Someone else can't ask customers in the waiting queue if they want anything from the display case and get it ready? In short, the purchasing process is frustratingly slow and inefficient and can be easily fixed with just a little common sense. Update: I have been back to the store several times since 85C Bakery said they will reach out to the store, and the checkout process is much faster. Let's hope the improvements are long lasting. Changed from...

Went there to pick up a pre-ordered birthday cake. The male clerk who took my order a while back forgot to deliver the cake receipt to the kitchen, so my cake was never made. The female clerk was polite, searched all over the place, but not able to find the cake. After waiting for 20+ minutes, and finally found out they messed up the order, I talked to the store manager (Judy), and asked her to stop wasting time search for the non-exist order, and just package one cake on the shelf, since there are two cakes already made. To my extreme surprise, she started accusing me "rude", and ask me to "watch my tone". What kind of customer service would do something like that? Instead of apologizing for their mistake, this woman is trying to shift the blame to me, and make me feel guilty instead. When I tried to file a formal complaint and demand speaking to the higher management, she refused to give me the contact info, and asked me to leave my contact instead, and said they would "call me back", which I doubt would ever happen.
I have been loyal customer to this bakery store ever since its grand opening, paid hundreds of visits and bought numerous cakes and breads. I am totally shocked that this rude, mean person (Judy) who knows nothing about customer service is hired as a store manager.
Convenient location, reasonable price, and great service. Limited store hour (10am - 4pm) during...
Read moreThe pastries are decent. Lite weight and varied. Nice display menu panels, they clearly showcase existing and seasonal products.
On occasion, when charging, I stop by to get a smoothie. Not sure what the material difference between 100% and 25% sugar, they seem to taste the same. They do not have any lactose free options for drinks, that are visible.
The food safety rating says: 'Good' so it is likely some refrigerator was broken and moisture is somewhere it should not be.
What can you really expect from this place for service. Met a person named NAOMI who was rude to the small girl and mom before me, and seemed not at all willing to share details about the smoothie and how a patron could modify it. On another occasion, caught a Line Manager griping with an employee about a lack of supplies which seemed to be the employees or co workers fault. It was awkward. Said Line Manager, opened the door at 9:00 am but seemed more interested in finishing her text exchange rather than greeting myself and the others. Guess it does not take much to get a...
