Bellevue Marketplace — Local services in Bellevue

Indian Supermarket and Chaat House are great places for Desi people looking for Indian fast food and shopping! The marketplace has ample parking space. Car or private vehicle should be the preferred mode of transport. Bus also works, but you should keep in mind that they are not that frequent during off peak hours! If you choose to travel by Bus from Seattle, BTC (Bellevue Transit Center) should be the junction to switch the buses.

Indian Supermarket: Supermarket is just like any other Indian store you'll find across other US cities. Some essential daily meal items like Phulka are not refilled soon after getting out of stock. Vegetables section has fresh veggies and there's a lot of variety. All in all, the store has all the products that an average Indian household needs.

Chaat House: It has wide range of fast food menu (South Indian, North Indian, as well as the chinese). The food quantity per dish is good enough to be considered as one time meal even for a healthy person with good amount of intake! Food is also rightly priced at an average of $10 per dish. What I feel overpriced are the after-meal items like Lassi or...

Arguably, it is the best strip mall in Bellevue for shopping and dining. It is located in the Overlake area across from Fred Meyer. This shopping center is where Asian Family Market, along with some high-profile food establishments including 85C, Sun Sui Wah and Supreme Dumplings. There is also an Indian grocery and a bunch of other Asian eateries here. Parking is sufficient most of the time, but many of the parking spaces are slanted and smallish. I do like that most of the rows are one-way only and that there are multiple entrances, which keeps the lots from becoming congested. All in all, it is a well-managed strip mall with many in-demand businesses...

I would like to emphasize today's visit to there customer service. I needed Sesame oil and I went along with 1L of my regular brand. I was walking down the aisle and the associate or owner had a quick glance at my choice and suggested another brand which almost had 90% discounted price of 2L price offer compared to my regular brand.

Associate/owner would have let me go and wouldn't have made any difference for him. This is exact way of helping customers in giving a helpful advice in products and offers. I felt really happy of my choice of visiting this store though it is not nearby for me...It's good to see this ...
