I'm a big fan of the Bothell location (5 stars by the way) but I was hugely let down by this Bellevue location after visiting on a Saturday evening after the movies. Still giving it 3.5 stars for the food because I like this style and the flavor, but the service just drags it down further.
Main points about the food: Multiple chunks of crunchy dried rice. This wasn't slightly undercooked rice, this was completely dried, like rice bits that got stuck outside of the cooker and then swept into your bowl when they served it... Kept having to spit it out, and all 3 of my companions had the same experience (both white and purple rice) I got the spicy pork and it was significantly less spicy than the Bothell location. Disappointing (1.5/5 spicy compared to 3/5). Also, possibly biased but it felt like less meat to me. There was actually a solid chunk of chicken mixed in my pork. It had the spicy pork sauce, so it must have been mixed into the whole container before serving, and it tasted great but bodes really ill for their sanitary and cross-contamination practices... The mashed potatoes was crumbly rather than creamy (ok this was a minor issue)
Other issues: Atmosphere is non-existent as this location is in the Lincoln Square South food court which is still half closed down No service to speak of since you order on their big touch screens to the side even when there are no other customers around. Unlike other locations, don't expect to look at the toppings in person, or ask for more/less sauce, etc. Even when they call your name and hand you your bowl, during that one opportunity of service, there are no smiles, no offer of utensils; oh, and also no acknowledgement of your person as you stand and wait either.
Not saying any of this is super unexpected, but I can't exactly give 5 stars for this kind of service. Ultimately though, it's really the food (esp. the rice!) that disappoints. Please take some tips from the Bothell and Kirkland locations! Crunchy rice is just ridiculous and makes it impossible to recommend or serve to others, and this is definitely making me reconsider having Seoul Bowl cater my...

After all these years, there still isn't a decent food court in the shopping complex. The little food court at the Lincoln Square section of the shopping complex was the only food court we could find on the legend and we were not expecting much. After a very quick walk around of the vendors (there were less than a handful), we decided on Seoul Bowl. They did not have fried chicken so I ordered the fried tofu sandwich.
I'm glad they did not have fried chicken. I could have fried chicken anywhere. The fried tofu sandwich was amazing. The crust was light and crunchy and the tofu itself was dense. The sauce was rich and tasty and the bun was soft. Every single bite...
Read moreExcited to try Seoul Bowl's plant-based options but sadly won't be back. We ordered the DIY bowl and the fried tofu sandwich. The tofu in the sandwich and the bowl were both undercooked and completely tasteless. The sweet and spicy sauce was just okay and didn't add any value to the sandwich. The fries were standard McDonald's style fries which were sadly the best thing about the meal. The tofu bowl was deeply disappointing as well. The rice and japchae noodles were cold and all the toppings were bland. The kimchi was just terrible. If you want Korean American food that does it right, drive down to BopBox in Georgetown instead. I'm sure their meat options are great, but if you're plant-based, I'd steer clear until they rework...
