Casa Olé Bellmead — Restaurant in Bellmead

It's been awhile since we ate at Casa Ole but wanted to go as the food and service are usually great. However, on the day we went, there were only two servers and one of them were being trained and didn't really do anything except observe. There were only two other customers. It took nearly ten minutes to be seated. After we were seated we ordered our drinks and got those fast. When they finally took our order after another ten minutes, a couple came in and were seated right by us. They got their food and drinks way before we did. We didn't complain as we were just talking. Food finally comes out after another twenty minutes but it shocked me as the portions were really small compared to the past. We always get the same thing so I was surprised but hungry so I ate it. I did mention it to the waitress who was really nice and she asked me if I wanted more but she said it would cost extra. I said no and we both just ate what we were given. Since we always get the same thing, we didn't even look at the menu. The total came to nearly $40.00, I kid you not. We had no alcohol and no appetizers. I felt this was really ridiculous for the amount of portions we were given. I know the waitress has no control over the prices. I also know that they only make $2.13 per hour plus rely on tips. I felt really bad for her as I didn't have much more cash on me so I left what I could which was only around $3.00 which was embarrassing. The ticket suggested we tip a minimum of 18% for two people- WOW! We were in a hurry as we had to go out of town so I didn't have time to ask for a manager. I didn't see one anywhere anyway. I am not one to complain usually but my phone just asked me to post a review for my experience so this is it. Not sure that we will go back. Maybe this was just a bad day and time but i am just being honest. Usually there are quite a few people eating there but on this day the parking lot was almost empty. They closed the other one across town and now it makes me wonder why. I wonder if I'll get any kind of feedback. Again, I'm just...

HARD PASS. My two sisters, nephew and I decided to go grab some lunch today. It was absolutely the worst experience we have ever had. We were sat down and immediately it was awkward. The staff kept just staring at us every time they walked passed, at one point they were all talking in a group and one of them pointed at us. Very uncomfortable. it took the server at-least 8 minutes to see us and greet us, she said she didn’t see us come in but my sister said she locked eyes with her before knowing she was our server. She took our order and then continued to come back to the table 5 or 6 times to be reminded of what we asked for as if she didn’t write everything down., my sister ordered queso to go with the chips as an appetizer which she did not receive until after we got our food and reminded the server. She ordered the fried avocado didn’t like it, I tried a bite and spit it out immediately. It tasted like it was rotten but it was bright green. We didn’t even bother to ask staff for something else or a refund because they made it so uncomfortable to try to sit and enjoy our meal we quickly paid and went home. We walked in the door and there was a man at the register. He looked at us and never spoke. I woman finally came in and said. Oh! She seated us. I noticed that one of the rooms was empty when we arrived and the other room wasn't full.

The waitress tells us that she's new, but she did fine. One ordered a chimichanga and the other was enchiladas. I ordered the fish. We waited forever. The waitress told us that they had a run on the kitchen, so we waited. Then I see the Waitr driver. They are not even cooking our food. Another waitress comes out with the other two meals and tells me mine isn't ready because I ordered the fish and it takes longer. It's my fault. Stop. It takes 7 minutes to cook fish. After a while another lady comes out. The other 2 are done with their meals. I told her I was done and I wanted the check. She asked if I wanted it to go. No thank you.

Do we have to stay home now and order through Waitr to get our food anymore. If you take on Waitr at your restaurant, you should be prepared to feed the customers that showed up as well. Very...
