El Conquistador — Restaurant in Bellmead

I gave it one star because I couldn't give 0 stars. Our waitress was extremely rude. She did not bring us the very 1st item we ordered, which was a grilled cheese for one year old child. Then she had the nerve turn around and tell us that we never ordered it, but it was the very 1st thing we ordered. She did refill my drink(one time) but then didn't return to the table for another 10 minutes. She took the empty basket of chips off the table, but left all the dirty dishes that we had already prebussed and stacked for her to carry with the basket sitting on top. Then, when she came back with more chips and hot sauce she gave us our check and never came back to the table again. My daughter had finished eating and I still had a full plate and an empty glass for 10 minutes. Finally,I took my plate up to the cashier ,with my drink and I told him I needed a to go cup and container. Needless to say it will be a very very very very very very very long time before we go back to this...

This was my first time with my 3 daughters. There was a sign that they were short staffed so to be patient so I knew what to look forward to. The host was rude and didn't talk he just sat us. The waitress wasn't socially with me. She talked with he table behind us and next to us but not me. I found it rude. At the end She gave me our ticket and didn't ask if I needed anything else. I waited for 10 minutes for a to go box. I had to ask the host bc the waitress was too busy and never came back to me didn't even know I was suppose to pay at the front desk bc she didn't even know this was my first time. I am never coming back. This was a terrible bad experience and I'd stick to being in traffic going into waco for someplace else. The food wasn't even all that and they had very little items. I went with my husband today 3/15 for lunch. Was told that the same item, same portions and everything I would need to pay the full price for instead of kids meal because I’m an adult. I asked for a single taco which would amount to $5 flat with no sides just ground beef and tortilla. I opted for a side of rice as I didn’t see the value in that pricing and to get a main entree elsewhere afterwards while my husband ate at the restaurant. The server was incredibly rude when asking about the menu and then avoided our table most of the time. Moral of the story: I am okay paying for food when portions are equivalent for the price and I understand some places won’t allow you to purchase a kids meal. What I don’t understand is the server’s attitude and paying $5 more for the same amount of food because I’m an adult. I do not plan on ever returning and will take my business elsewhere. First...
