We attended a friend of ours birthday gathering for dinner this last weekend. The staff at the front door were very polite. Our waitress was very scattered and mostly absent. She did not even refill our drinks the entire time we were there and then asked if we would like a refill as we were about to walk out the door. The food was okay but pretty bland. We even ordered Louisiana and garlic butter for our seafood boil bag. For some reason there was zero spice which made me think perhaps they put the wrong selection. We still ate it and the crab was very good in the bag. The rest of the food was overcooked including tough shrimp and extremely tiny tiny crawfish. I've actually never seen them so small in my life. We still tried to continue enjoying it because after all we were in the middle of the dinner. Two other people at our table got the wrong margaritas and the wrong appetizer. They ordered the spicy shrimp whatever that was called and instead got coconut shrimp. Only to realize it after they were eating. When they told the waitress about the issue she said because you have eaten some of it by the time you told me we can't fix my mistake for you. What kind of garbage is that? Excuse me but if your weight staff brings the wrong food it needs to be replaced and the customer shouldn't be treated that way. She said she would have needed to take it back to the kitchen to prove it was the wrong thing! How absolutely absurd. We still let it slide and ordered our own appetizers. Which we ordered the fried oysters that came out the size of dimes for $13. I just think your entire establishment can do so much better. If the staff doesn't even trust each other enough to allow a waitress to come and tell the kitchen she delivered the wrong food that is the first place y'all need to make improvement. Secondly your wait staff doesn't need to punish the customer because of their own mistake. And thirdly if you're going to charge the same price as Tejun and you're trying to compete I would take into consideration every detail of this review. Because your customers are not going to return. It's a shame this was something that happened at a large table party during a birthday on top of everything else. Y'all can definitely do better. And based on the previous reviews which all looked good for the most part we were really surprised that this was the experience...
Read moreWe came here to celebrate a birthday. The service was ok. The drink menu only shows pictures of the mixed drinks and no description of the kind of alcohol used to make each one. They have a "no refund or exchange" policy on the drink menu, so I asked two different waitresses, "Can you tell me what comes in this drink?" just to make sure I was going to like it before ordering, but neither one of them had a clue. I understand they're not the bartender, but the menu should have the liquor listed under the pictures or the waitresses should be taught. So to play it safe, I ordered a margarita in a big glass, but my drink came out in a different glass because she said all the big glasses were dirty/used. But I was still charged for the big glass price. Also, don't get the fried shrimp basket!!! The batter is too thick, and the shrimp is tough from over cooking. If the shrimp batter was the same as the fried fish batter, then it probably would have tasted better. We had two people in our group order the fried shrimp basket, and we were both very disappointed. The bags of boiled shrimp and sausage were good, but way too much sausage in the bag. Overall, it has the potential to be a good place for Bellmead, and I might give it another try one day, but I still like...
Read moreFirst off I see the sign outside that says Happy Hour 5-7 I get there at 6:30 was told no that is only Monday thru Thursday. Did not mention that on the sign. I would not have ordered the drink that I did. While sitting there waiting for food we are disturbed by the staff blowing whistles and singing happy birthday. I get the singing part, but the whistles were echoing inside this building to the point that they hurt my ears. We had 4 people in the party and the first one gets their food. At least 10 minutes before anyone else gets their food. Proper utensils were not brought out for the crab legs. No salt on the table. Side order of rice brought out after one guest was almost finished with their meal. The garlic bread was burned on one side for one of the dishes. The price that we paid we could have gone somewhere very nice to eat. They would not honor the Happy Hour even though we pointed it out on the sign outside. Service was ok, but nothing to really brag about. I don't think this place will last much longer the way our service was Saturday night on 10/12/2024. I know that I will not be going back. I will drive across town to where they get...
