Last night me and my friends tried to get into the river pig party. We waited in line for a hour and a half in the freezing cold wearing dresses only to be told they weren’t alowing anyone else in due to being at max capacity. There were about 200 people also waiting with pre brought tickets and the line wrapped around the whole building. We ended up leaving as it was almost 11 and waiting in line to get into the event almost ruined our New Years.
It doesn’t seem like this establishment cares about their costumers. As a business owner I would never make my costumers wait outside in the freezing cold for one hour. The only reason we waited that long was because they told us it would be a 20 min wait. This is bend Oregon, we are not in LA. I called river pig today and told them about our concerns. They didn’t seem to care too much, probably because they made bank on over filling the establishment. This company values money more than costumer care. We will not be coming back here. Hope the 200 people+ including us, get...
Read moreThe Portland location is a regular spot for us, and decided to check out the Bend location while on a spring skiing trip. The main difference between the two is that the Bend location was doing the open seating thing during dinnertime, which is just the worst, having to creep on tables and compete for who gets the next open spots. We did eventually get a table, but then the staff must not have realized it turned over because they didn't come by for more than 20 minutes (we had beers from the bar so not a big deal). We repeatedly had to flag people down, were never serviced by the same person twice, and the kitchen lost our appetizer order and had to be re-entered well over an hour later. We kept going back to the bar for beers as the table service was so bad, and a 6:30 dinner plan turned into 9pm appetizers (never had the chance to order entrees).
We will keep going to the Portland spot, but will not be frequenting this...
Read moreI've been to this restaurant a few times now and I absolutely love their food. Their burger is scrumptious, but they have me hooked with their fries. I have never eaten inside because minors aren't allowed and I've had my daughter with me every time I've gone. Their outside patio is nice but chilly in the winter. I know this place gets hoppin' in the summer because it's down the street from my husband's work and we drive by it every night during the week. I've only had their brewskis and they have a decent selection. Their wait staff is friendly and attentive, but not overly bothersome. I'm sorry other reviews say they had a bad experience, but I can honestly say, every time I eat here, service is top notch, staff are friendly and personable. I recommend River Pig to everyone that comes to town to visit us. I can't wait to go...
