Toasty — Restaurant in Bend

Okay. We’ve known about this place since before they opened, but whenever we’re nearby and ready for food they’re never open. SO- we just tried it for the first time the other day. Ummmm. Brooke. Round of applause to you girlfriend. I’m incredibly particular when it comes to rating quality of food, so much so that I would usually just rather eat at home cause I know I’ll be more satisfied than the flavors eating out.

The Crunchwrap and the beyond beefy 5 layer from toasty are EXCEPTIONAL. there are a few other vegan options in town that are great, and several that are honestly missing the mark and disappointing.

But toasty Crunchwrap? You’re not gonna regret it folks. The lime crema is fantastic, queso has the right consistency AND flavor profile, the ingredients are quality down to the lettuce and tomato, and the ratios are perfect.

Beyond impressed and a little upset this is our first encounter since we are moving out of the country soon.

If you’re in Bend, there are several vegan options that are great— but know that Toasty is worth the hype, folks. And Brooke— keep freaking crushing it....

The buffalo wrap was so tasty. I asked if it contained nutritional yeast (migraine trigger for me), the cashier thought for a brief second and concretely confirmed that only the tofu scramble and queso sauce contained nutritional yeast. It feels reassuring that they know their ingredients by heart! It was the best crunch wrap I have ever had. The juicy vegan chicken mixed with lots of sauce and a crunchy tortilla layer, was incredible. If anything, it's a bit too flavorful for me 😅. I gobbled the whole thing down like I haven't eaten for days.

The only minor negative thing is that It was a bit too salty for my taste, however, I know buffalo sauce is usually quite salty so I expected that.

The portion size is also quite generous, I felt almost full after only half of the wrap.

My son and daughter in were in town and they are Vegan. I have had Vegan dishes from time to time and thought we would give Toasty a try. My wife had the Buffalo chikn crunchwrap. Chik'n, beans, provolone, buffalo sauce, avocado, tostada, ranch, onion, tomato, lettuce. Even without the jalapeno, my wife thought it was a little to spicy but tasted good. I had the "Beef" Burrito. "Beef", beans, cheddar, rice, avocado, salsa, tomato,lettuce, lime crema. Not sure which fake meat they use but it tasted good . My only "Beef" was the lime crema was too runny . My son and daughter in law ordered the Veggie Scramble. Tofu scramble with onion, tomato, microgreens, lime crema and hot sauce. The Mountain Breakfast Burrito. Tofu scramble, Beyond Sausage, cheddar, beans, rice, avocado, tomato, salsa, habanero, cilantro, onion, lettuce, lime crema and added the cashew queso for $2.
