The owners were friendly and we got a sample of La Bandera, which was quite good. But we ordered the Carne Frita. The beans and onions on the side were good but the meat was dry and seemed overcooked. I looked it up later and realized this is how the dish is prepared (the meat is cooked and then fried in oil). I expected it to be more like a carne asada, because the menu description said it was a "seasoned steak", I wish it would have mentioned the deep fried aspect of the dish. I would have avoided it.
