Friendly's — Restaurant in Bensalem Township

Horrible service, unfriendly, and filthy establishment. Took my 64 year old mother here with my child for dinner and ice cream. My mom's food was extremely greasy so the waitress asked if she wanted to take it back and my mom said no as she didn't want to be a bother. She wouldn't touch her food because it was so greasy, so I told her to take it back and order something else. She finally did and the waitress took her original meal away and brought her a cobb salad. They billed me for both! When I brought it to the managers attention she gave me a hard time and accused my 64 year mother of trying to get a free meal! Keep in mind my mother had only taken two bites of her food and a couple of fries. However the manager was nasty and felt it necessary to exclaim "you ate over half of your sandwich and some of your fries!", accusing my 64 year old mother of trying to get free food and embarrassing her. We went back and forth and she eventually agreed to take it off. The manager proceeded to laugh about it with her staff afterwards, which we could clearly hear. It was completely unnecessary! They should have never asked to take the food back and get her something else if they were going to charge us! Feels like a place trapped in the past, but not in a fun, interesting way. Just dated.

I struggled to find things on the menu that appealed to me, and I didn't see any dessert or ice cream that looked appetizing. Great for kids, I guess? No real palettes or standards, just happy with piles of colors and sugar.

I will say the service was pretty speedy. Server was nice, and possibly also the cook...

But... the sliders were boring, the breading on the tenders was salty, greasy, and bland. The waffle fries weren't bad. The onion rings were the same as the tenders. I got a pastrami melt. The ratio of coleslaw to pastrami on my melt was ludicrous. It was hard to tell it was even a melt. Small favors, though, because the coleslaw wasn't bad. Unfortunately, this was a $15 sandwich with a piddling of pastrami.

High prices for mediocre food was a theme consistent across the menu, too. Assuming you nailed some of these dishes exactly right, no complaints, few of them would be worth the price asked. And the dishes definitely aren't getting nailed here.

Location was the one in street road. Was a very nice time ....honestly Everything was awesome except the men's bathroom.. smelled terrible.. papertowels and trash on the floors ... plus floor was wet (unspecified source) our SErVER who's name escapes me was amazing. Super friendly and very skilled... we had a 8 person party.. he didnt write anything down. And we bgg had very specific orders... everything was perfect down to the last detail . No mistakes.. he checked on us constantly and made sure we needed for nothing. Then came time to sing my nephew the. Birthday song. As he was turning 2. They didnt an awesome job .. u fortunately he wasnt expecting it and cried and got scared (it was loud) but the servers all noticed he was scared and lowered the voice.s and clapping ... I havent been to friendly in uears.. this was the first time back and couldnt have been better except the bathroom lol .

Thanks yall... was a great day and the food was perfect. Cooked well and very tasty. Will definitely visit again and...
