In the area from out-of-town (Northern Virginia) for Allen Hopkin’s Super Billiards Expo. Just finishing lunch at nearby Pho Kitchen I googled for ice cream on this beautiful Sunday spring afternoon finding Petrucci’s. What a find! I love everything about the place. The setting in the middle of what appears to be a horse farm with the classic white rail fence that horse farms are known for. I get the drift that Petrucci's is a family business recognized for hand made ice cream. Their menu is extensive and includes shakes, floats, smoothies and more. Three order windows and a constant line for twenty minutes or so I spent there I believe tells the story. Petrucci’s is obviously a beloved local treasure.

Best hand dipped ice cream I’ve ever had! I always get the black sweet cherry in a waffle cone. Thankfully my people let me try theirs because I am just hooked on the hand dipped Black Sweet Cherry in a waffle cone. The seasonal fav is the pumpkin which taste like pumpkin pie heaven. I go here 1-3 times a week. Life is too short to go without Petrucci’s. The pic is from Friday, August 25th - National Banana Split Day. It took two of us but we didn’t leave anything behind. You won’t find better ice cream and you won’t find better people. Family owned and run, they make it even sweeter just being themselves. Do not miss this treasure!!

I pass by this ice cream shop gazillion times and I never stopped by to try. Finally I took my daughter here after picking her up from school. They have very limited parking spots right in front of the shop. So be prepared that you might have to park on the side or shoulder lane. Lady who took my orders was very nice and friendly. Service was good. Many flavors to choose from that I don’t even know where to start. I only know I will definitely return to try out other flavors. I think it’s also best to share because the portion is big if you don’t want to feel too guilty afterwards. Lastly, please note that this place is cash only.

I pass by this ice cream shop gazillion times and I never stopped by to try. Finally I took my daughter here after picking her up from school. I would stay away from this ice cream place. My family has been going here for years but recently it went down hill. My wife and kids got ice cream cones here this weekend and the server gave her the cones totally melted without sprinkles when she asked for sprinkles three times. I do not understand how a business can give you a melted cone with it dripping all down the cone. My wife ended up throwing it away. The service was the pits. The guy taking the order who forgot to put on sprinkles then started yelling to my wife that she shorted them 38 cents. She went back to the window and gave them the change and we vowed never to return because they were so rude and ignorant. Go to Friendlys around the...
