This location charges a 3.99% fee to use your debit card. I've been to other crust n fire locations before and never seen this surcharge before. I know from working at a bank that companies are not allowed to charge a surcharge for debit card transactions, which is what I would have used. I went to take out cash instead rather than pay the ridiculous and unlawful surcharge.
Additionally I've noticed the quality of the food at crust n fire has dropped off big time at their other locations, but hadn't been to this location in Berlin so figured I'd give it another try. This will be my last time going to crust n fire, the food is not that good to justify their higher than average prices, and to be illegally nickel and dimed to pay for their card processing fee is just insult to injury. I ordered the famous Buffalo chicken wrap and all I tasted was blue cheese with every bite because there was more blue cheese than chicken in the wrap. I like blue cheese, but not to the point where I feel like I'm eating a blue cheese wrap and not a chicken wrap.
Anyway, there's much better and affordable pizza joints in the area. Save yourself the extra money and get better quality food at a...
Read moreFirst time here, wanted to try a couple of menu items. Unfortunately it’s defaulted to Pepsi items- they have a pretty big menu of options- saw some GF options, some low carb crust options.
There is a CC / Technology Surcharge - so it’s cheaper to pay cash.
Pizza - was doughy, crust is chewy, no real flop. If you’re into thin crust , crispy pizza - not sure if this is it. Cheese is too greasy imo … was it a terrible pizza, no … but not my personal cup of tea.
Salmon Rice Bowl - this was actually really good, good portion of sides and salmon- the sauce was amazing!
Chicken Rice lime soup - punched me in the face, absolutely delicious- very flavorful - perfect treat in the colder seasons.
Kids Ravioli - the actual ravioli wasn’t really cooked , still rock hard - got it to go , wiped out the acidic pizza sauce , reheated at home with my sauce and spices, came out really good.
The restaurant is clean and well presented, there is sure to be an option for everyone...
Read moreStopped in for lunch. Trying to stay Carnivore/Keto, I went with the wings. Place was empty. Definitely felt like we were an inconvenience to the cashier who was more interested in talking at her phone and showing off her jewelry to it. Took a bit to get the wings, but if they're good, they're worth it. Sadly, these "wings" were definitely frozen (so much for "everything is fresh" and they were sooooo tiny and over cooked. Sauce (hot) was decent which is why they got a bump in stars. Over $17 for 10 tiny, previously frozen, overcooked wings... My buddy had the pizza which he said was, "just ok...". Also, it's in the 90s outside and the dining room was hotter than when we walked back outside.
In the area there are like at least 5 other pizza/hoagie shops. I'd pass...
