I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Blue Bottle on our interview date.
Itās always interesting to hear the backstories of your favorite businesses, and the history of Blue Bottle Coffee is no different. Going all the way back to the late 1600s, Austrian emissary Franz George Kolshitsky opened Europeās first coffee house, The Blue Bottle, in the wake of the expulsion of the Turkish army from Vienna, bringing the joy of coffee to a community faced with turmoil. Hundreds of years later, a coffee-loving freelance musician in Oakland, CA joined the coffee industry by providing guests with fresh roasts at the peak of their flavor (less than forty-eight hours of life). In honor of Kolshitskyās legacy, Blue Bottle Coffee was born and has since grown into an impressive family of cafes (including the U.S., Japan, and Korea).
Specifically with Blue Bottle Coffeeās Beverly Hills location, you will be treated to spacious, two-story indoor seating complete with inviting warm-tones that make you want to stay there for a few hours enjoying your responsibly sourced brew and a healthy food choice from their menu. Ā Ā Ā Read morePlease mark the day and time of when I came here, 8/6/23 at 7:15 am. I came with my two year old to grab banana bread and steamed milk for my son with a latte for me. I asked the person who worked there did you throw my stuff away and his reply was I cleaned the table. I was literally outside in the front. He didnāt even offer me a replacement coffee or anything. Corporate should come and teach their people service and how to treat people. Honestly I am so disgusted with blue bottle. This place used to be so good but they donāt know how to teach their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been to Blue Bottle locations a couple times and havenāt been amazed. I think itās pretty okay, itās pricey and the menu isnāt extensive ā which is OK; some shops specialize in their small menu but I didnāt feel like their prices justified what they had. Iāve ordered a hot chocolate before and it was good, and a hojicha latte with regular milk. The hojicha was not good - it was wicked milky and the whole thing just tasted like milk in ice. There wasnāt much flavor. I also had a salted caramel chocolate cookie and felt like it was a bit overpriced for the size of the cookie. It was good but again, not amazing. I think thereās better coffee...
