What's Brewin Cafe — Restaurant in Beverly

What's Brewin Cafe runs like an uncommonly welcoming well-oiled machine. Folks are friendly, easy-going, efficient, & good at their jobs - an uncommon & much appreciated combination. Barristas are terrific, in my experience, & not just one. Pretty much all of them. But the same can be said of the rest of the staff.

𝐿𝑜𝑡𝑠 of coffee selections & options. Terrific bagel sandwiches. There's more to the menu... I'm pretty sure... but I just haven't been able to resist the bagels. Maybe you'll do better at menu exploration.

Note: It's SRO - there's no room for seating. The joint fills up just with folks making & getting their takeaway orders. But everybody knows the drill so, even when busy, the place runs smoothly & orders are filled remarkably quickly: When reasonably busy but not sardine-can tight, I'm usually in & out in 10 min or less. Your stopwatch may vary.

In warm weather months, there's a table & a few chairs on the sidewalk but, for the most part, it's walk-in-walk-out w little time spent in between..

Food is really good my 3 starts is based off of the attitude of the staff, I know we are in the middle of a pandemic and masks are required but I have a medical issue which makes it difficult to breath and in the state of MA you are not required to wear a mask if it makes breathing more difficult. Now I did have a face covering but my nose was exposed and more than 1 employee had to make it a point to tell me to cover my nose. All I wanted to do was place my order, pay, and wait outside for my order to be finished. I just found it rude of them, I shouldn't have to explain my medical issues. If they cater to those who can wear a mask they should be more mindful of those who can't for medical issues. I shouldn't have to be singled out or stay at home in fear, I should be able to enjoy being out in public like everyone else! My friend and I went here for lunch on Friday. We both got bagels and they were delicious! I got an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese, bacon, and tomato, and my friend got an everything bagel with cream cheese, tomato, and cucumber. There was no wait when we arrived and we were greeted by a very friendly counter lady. She was sociable and had a very nice smile. The other staff greeted with smiles as well.
