Ming's Cuisine — Restaurant in Birmingham

Was visiting grandmother in Grandview hospital and found this place with great reviews just down the road so we decided to go for dinner. This is the worst Chinese food we’ve had in a long time. The crabragoons are Super fishy tasting. Egg rolls are over cooked resulting in being too dry to eat. General chicken had good flavor but the chicken was so rubbery you couldn’t hardly chew it. My wife’s chicken noodle dish had what I’m assuming was chicken but did not taste or resemble chicken in any way who knows what it was. Kids has sweet and sour but again the chicken was so rubbery you couldn’t chew it. The City water is disgusting. I don’t know how this place has this good of reviews unless management has changed and it’s went down hill or Alabama doesn’t know what good Chinese food is but it was the biggest waste of 100 dollars I think I have ever spent. Since we “found” Ming’s last fall it has become our favorite restaurant! We have been numerous times and have had excellent service from our server Yuliana (whom we always ask for) and the most delicious meals! Yuliana is so personable and we like that in a server. She is like your relative helping with your meal!! My husband is a double amputee and in a wheel chair and she is always so accommodating by moving chairs so he can sit at the table comfortably. Our son and daughter usually go with us and didn’t tonight and Yuliana asked about them!!!!! We ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Young and General Shrimp. Both were outstanding! 5 stars for the SHRIMP in LOBSTER Sauce. 😍😍😍😍😍. You absolutely MUST try this. Also try the DINNER version of Hot & Spicy soup. It's usually VERY delicious. Last time we went, it was a flop. It was missing the "hot &spicy" and it didn't have enough "vegetable/meat" stuff in it. We fixed it by adding some hot mustard sauce. A little disappointed by soup, but that RARELY happens. I actually thought maybe they brought us the lunch version or egg drop soup by mistake. All in all, this place is solid. Egg rolls are perfect. I will come MANY more times and we will always get the shrimp in LOBSTER Sauce to share.. like you would an appetizer....
