The DOW — Restaurant in Birmingham

The manager assured me that we could reserve seating for a large party (25 people). I know this is a big undertaking, which was why we planned the event well in advance (one year ago) and made sure to talk over the possibility with the staff. I also want to point out it was a Thursday night (not a Friday or Saturday when they would be understandably more busy). When we arrived the day of, there was enough seating- but the tables were arranged poorly so six of our guests were stranded out on their own. We had one waitress, who was clearly in over her head for such a large party. Then to top it all off the food came out so badly timed that half the party was finished eating before the others got their food. My burger was super salty but everyone else was happy with their food. They have a nice drink selection, but overall I was disappointed as they had promised to take care...

Well can’t leave much of a review on food. We never got to try the food. We were there in the afternoon enjoying some beers. They were also out of half their draft beers. No one else was in there. The manager/owner Mitch, whoever he is, came up to us and informed us my 3 year old son could not sleep on the couch. I’ve been working in restaurants for 16 years and have never heard of that rule ever. I’ve had children pass out in many of my restaurants and never said anything. He was completely rude about it too. I’ve tried searching for this rule but can’t find anything. So we decided to finish our beers and told them to forget about the food. Was my first time there and I will never be back. I take pride in my customer service as I’m a manager for multiple bars and I would never treat any...

I've been here 4-5 times now and the experience is never the same. Sometimes I have good food, other times I haven't been able to finish my plate. The lamb burger I had was a crime against humanity, incredibly bland.

Service has also been hit or miss. One time our service was very inattentive and too slow, another time they were quick and quite accurate.

They do host quite a hefty tap list of about 30+, but alas only 2 dark beers and about 4 fruit/sours. The rest are IPAs.

Much like the rest of Birmingham, I don't think the food justifies the price and there is little to no variety on the tap list.
